I use 8 AA re charegable batteries for that little unit. That 10v is after two days of fishing. That's about how long they last before a re charge.

Striper and Crappie schooling together, that's a first for me. saw these fish yesterday ,didn't try it, and they were in the exact same spot today. It's a channel swing bank. A small ditch/creek bed. Hooking small stripers with 6' of line out will test the guts of your micro combo! Threw em all back.

See, all good!! Thank you for the update

Fished from 2-6 WT 72 4-6' Homemade Micro jigs They were very aggressive getting bites the entire time. 95% of the bites were on or near the bottom. Here's a few pics to get an idea what I was into all afternoon. didn't keep track of how many gills were caught today but it was way over 100, anywhere from 4" to 8+" size. Look at the teeth on this one !βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ They were around the brush and debris so had to set the hook and reel like mad and keep em coming or these big ones would instantly wrap me up in the cover.

This is going to be the latest I've ever planted my tomatoes. Always had them in the ground before May. The weather here sucks so far. Too cold at night, too wet. My neighbor has stunted tomatoes and his peppers are always droopy and pale. I'm going to wait one more week, then they go in no matter ,or else I won't have tomatoes until mid August if I wait any longer. The variety I grow hate cold weather ,cold rains, and cold dirt. The two that are already in the ground are not happy with the conditions. Still alive, just not doing much. Been bringing my jalapenos in every night. . They are doing pretty gooood . The corn I put in the other day has sprouted quickly with all this rain.

40's again at night this week? My jalapeno peppers hate it. Anything below 55 and they just complain. Will have to bring them inside once again. Put some more corn in yesterday before the rains. Still hesitant with planting the tomatoes.. not a good weather week to transplant. I have two tomatoes in the ground already, slowly coming along now as the avg. night temp rises. These may be a tad stunted ,too early to tell for sure but they are getting very bushy for a non bushy variety.

Not a guru by any means, but I'd say your color selection is sufficient to give it a whirl. Some shade of green perhaps?

Fishing is the best its been in 30 years! Get your bum out there! Theodosia ramp parking lot is full of rigs practically every day it's been that good.Same with Spring Creek ramp.. Not just the bass fishing but walleye whites and crappie too. It's that time of year we all look forward to. I've seen and heard of water temps as low as 60 and as high as 70. Heard somebody caught 37 keeper bass yesterday,I saw the pictures, but I'm sworn to secrecy on the details π€

Pulled a few onions for supper. Like to eat these with a bologna sandwich. No cooking tonight. Don't feel like it.

Big truck, big tires? Is it dark color? Boat wrapped in a billion lumens of yellow lights?
-
Saw one the other night when I was night fishing on Bull. Driving up and down the lake with the numerous headlights and generator running. I wouldn't last an hour in a boat that loud. From a quarter mile away they lit up my whole body and the bank with those super bright yellow lights. And this was during a full moon. I had to turn away from the lights shining in my face from 100 yds away. A little much don't ya think ,man What good are those lights anyway when there aren't pointed down at the water?? These guys could see the bank like day time a 100 yds or more in front of them, and the tops of the bluffs 100' high above them were all lit up too. Pic was taken when they were at least a half mile away from me. Like a gigantic yellow sun floating on the water lol Do they need special sunglasses to operate the boatπ Heck, we used to gig and bowfish with Coleman lanterns on a pole. Not sure why you need so many lumens these days. But I can probably guess why .

.we've had almost 2" rain fall at the house in two hours and it's still raining. I'd imagine we'll see a jump in lake level soon. That will probably ruin those crappie that are on beds now. But I know where the bass will be if that big rise happens!π

Transplanted my peppers into 3 gal pots today. The two mater plants are fine. That's about it. Won't be long before I put in the rest of the maters. I have fifteen ready to go! Going to wait until later in May. I don't have enough plants to start over if it freezes so I'm very very cautious..

Fished from 9-5 WT 65 2' visibility 3-7' Took the boat and crappie fished all day ,didn't even bring a bass rod. Caught 52. I get more bites tipping my jigs with Sparkle Nibbles. The nibbles also cover the hook and help prevent snagging. Fished the same bank all dam day. Early bite they chased the jigs. Put the boat in 12'+ and cast towards the bank. Once the sun got high, even with the overcast, you had to go vertical into the brush after them. I must have measured 30 fish today. Lots of shorts ,but went home with 13. I want to tell everyone about a bass I caught today. He had the biggest hole in the side of his mouth. I could have put my pinky finger through it. It was a hook hole. Obviously the person who caught it before me had no clue how to remove a hook without destroying the fish's face. It was a nasty sore, pus covered and red. It's amazing how bass can tolerate the stress of the spawn and people ripping holes in their face. It was a 13" largemouth. My crappie jig was barely skin hooked in the upper lip. Very simple removal. There so much emphasis on catching fish, but there also needs to be a lesson on hook removal π because some people are terrible at it. They must think making the hole bigger makes the hook come out easier .

So yesterday evening I put out two tomato plants. Let them soak up some of the rain from last night. Didn't get too much, just enough to water it in. Still not 100% confident in the weather. Ky3 says 4"+ rain possible through next week. I better hold off on the rest of these plants. Don't want to put them in and then they drownπ― π€
