Bass fished in Big Creek. Tried some shoreline topwaters first thing for about an hour, caught 1 dink. Just like the last time I found some bass 20-30' on the bottom out in the middle of a cove. Shad were present ,but there was little if any surface activity besides gar. The bass were relating to rock transitions on the bottom, and were not up on the banks. I was "zoomed in" on the fish finder to see the changes in bottom composition. From what I could see it was clay?,pea gravel and chunk rock. Broke out the baby rage craws on a 5/16oz. fb shaky head and caught a fat 16"+ spot on the first cast. Just kept fan casting that area ,and switching craw colors every 15-20 casts to show them something diff. Wound up catching 8 big, fat, football spotted bass there! Long time between bites, but they were big bites
