  1. Thanks for the info guys, sounds fishy to me.
  2. Devils horse, it was my favorite as a kid
  3. Speaking of the James River, how is the water up that way? Have the logs and trash pretty much cleared out? Say cape fair down to pt 11
  4. If you have confidence in something, chances are your gonna get bit depending on the time of year. Texas rig 7" blue worm will still catch them, it's just not the "cool thing" to throw these days.
  5. "Forgiving as a politicians wife" do you mind if I use that one, that's pretty good
  6. Thanks, now I know where I'm not going. I keep telling myself it's time to go back to Bull Shoals.
  7. Fishing can be a lot of fun sometimes
  8. How far is it from Kimberling to Golden? I gotta pick up a battery there.
  9. I rarely throw spinnerbaits and I don't own an a-rig. Jig with a twin tail grub, spook, 1/4 oz head with a 4" grub, shakey head or drag a zoom finesse worm with a split shot or mojo weight, jerk bait. That's really all you need. I'm gonna throw the Ned when I get down there and I might drag a wobble head but I swim or crawl my jig a lot which is basically the same deal.
  10. Dave better give my money back, I only caught 500
  11. I watched some video of Davis throwing it, it's a killer deal for sure.
  12. Don't waste your time with it, you don't need an a-rig right now
  13. Where did the big fish go? I remember Mike Webb had a 10lb a year or two ago, plus I recall some stringers pushing 28lbs in some tournaments, a-rigs I'm sure. If people are keeping all these a-rig fish then that's a problem.
  14. Joseph I read earlier you were from around Toledo Bend. How does this forum rate for information compared to the forums in Texas or Louisiana. I heard they fish a little bit down that way, just curious.
  15. Missouri craw doesn't work in Missouri
  16. You can practice and plan and have all the majic baits. It all depends on the weather on the day of the derby. Keep an open mind is the best advice your gonna get.
  17. I thought I heard it's 12 on one side of the border and 15 on the other side. I have no idea to be honest.
  18. What is the length limit on spots in Missouri and Arkansas? A friend told me they were allowing 12 inch spots at a LOZ tournament but I figured they weren't sustainable in that lake so conservation doesn't worry about it. I've heard different on these border lakes.
  19. If it's not full of eggs now I'm thinking it's gotta be a male to. If that's the case that is a giant fish, I've never seen a male that big.
  20. It will work but there is a bunch of creature craws out now that will do the same exact thing. Anyone get a look at the drop craw from luck e strike. Chris Lane was using it last week I think.

    YIKES!

Champ that's funny, if this becomes a frog lake I'm selling all my Ned heads
  22. Everything has been so doom and gloom with the weather and the bite, you just gave a shot of encouragement
  23. I think Roland Martin had a good finish in that derby throwing a jig. Morganthaler, probably spelled wrong, did pretty good to up in the Indian point area. I remember marking spots on my map, Davis was way up the White.
  24. Sounds like a fish story to me Mr. B, can I pass that one on
  25. I agree but I stay in Aunts and there aren't any fish there so I gotta boogie up or down lake
