  2. All I can say is its awesome! Look into it you'll see. I should probably learn to keep my mouth shut about certain things lol. But that's not what this forum is about. I like to share when I have something worth sharing and want every one to enjoy fishing by catching.
  3. Tackle HD Hi Def Craw. The realization of this bait is unbelievable. If you don't have one yet seriously check them out they are awesome! I went to this guy's shop the other day and watched him hand paint a few. I loved the fact he is doing all of this out of single, one car garage. Super great guy and very personable. If you get a chance, go to his website at TackleHD.com I love the bait! I'll be sending pics of some catches on it soon!
  4. Tackle HD Hi def craw. Guys this is a bait to check out! I'm serious. The realization of this bait is unbelievable. I can only imagine this is going to be a tournament winner. Great guys at the company too. Super nice. I was so impressed seeing his shop. Literally a one car garage. I watched his guy hand paint several of the lures while I was there. Extemely impressed! Check out his website@ TackleHd.com I'm impressed with their products.
  5. Since you "always release" your fish....im going to assume you were fishing on a house boat?

  10. Man Ketchup. I would beg to differ. I think the lake fished great this past weekend. I just hope it stays the same this coming weekend. I usually choke come tournament time. Lol
  11. I just got some info the James river arm is fishing pretty good. I have a buddy down there right now pre fishing.
  12. Great job nitro! Thanks for the report. I need to try to catch some crappie some time.
  13. Sorry Alex I just saw your question. I was at the lower end.
  14. Another great day! Same as above. Just lots more fish. Quit counting and probably caught 50 to 60 today. Good average number of those were keepers. My brother in law and I caught them all in one creek in probably about 200 yards.
  15. Fishing was pretty good this weekend at table rock. Focused on creeks on the channel swing sides 2/3's of the way back. Most of my fish came on the rock crawler but my nicest fish came on an under spin in about 20 fow. Still lots of slime. Water came up several inches over night. Some of the creeks were getting pretty muddy. I may try it all again tomorrow. Good luck to everyone out fishing and have fun.

  17. A great interview with Boyd Duckett is on Bass Zone. He explains how the A rig is a great bait, but it has not been the big winner in several of the tournaments on Guntersville which just so happens to be the same lake that made it famous. The fact of the matter is, "fish get accustomed to baits, period." I've never heard the saying "it's always the Indian, never the arrow" so true. You do still have to find the fish. The funny thing is I have sat back and watched people I knew were sitting their boat right in top of the fish. They'll be throwing the right bait but never actually presenting it to the fish. Short of having a bait that acts on its own to catch the fish for you, you cant and wont catch them if you're not presenting it correctly even if its the almighty A rig. The reason most circuits have eliminated it from the tournament is indeed because its an effective bait and will flat catch them. The difference is, all of those guys can flat fish and know where to go to catch them. That being said, if you have to worry about the "guy from the city"coming to take your money. Consider this, he just put his bait in a position that provided him the better opportunity to catch them better than you did. Right place, right time, right bait ,right presentation.
  18. Good job Dave!
  19. Nice fish. Good work Ken I'm heading down this weekend. I hope to be able to post some information soon. Looking forward to it. Again nice catch. I've never had a double on an a rig yet.
  20. I would agree with you on that Bo. Perhaps I missed the fact he is a pro staff member. Yes makes a difference in that regard.
  21. I will chime in to say this. How does it make any difference if the pro is out getting information to put them in a better position of winning, differ from someone going to school or taking training to make them better at their job. One thing that I think makes this particular topic a little more judgmental toward pro fisherman by some, is because they don't look at fishing being A REAL JOB! But it is for them. Fishing is how they pay their bills feed their family. For instance Wrench, though I don't know him personally but he seems to graciously offer his expertise when it comes to boat mechanic advise and I trust it. But with the everyday changing of technology he, I'm sure has to update himself through training. No different. Additionally they earn wages by giving plugs to someone's baits/lures. If you don't pay them to do it,do they owe you that plug? Maybe it would be a nice thing to do and I would do it for you Bo but I'm not sure it's fair to "expect" them to do free advertising for your company. I will apologize in advance if I missed you explain why they owe that to you Bo. Just thought I would voice my opinion as a neutral party in that regard.
  22. I have another picture with this fish by my foot to really show its size but for some reason it will not upload. I'll try again tomorrow when I have better service. I didn't have a scale with me and I released it to be caught another day.
  23. I caught this one today on a chatter bait in shallow water. Maybe a foot. It's a local private lake in my back yard. (I wish it were mine) I'll bet spring time it's a ten lb fish. Released to be caught again some day.
  24. Bill they were all released to enjoy catching another day in the lower end of the lake. It was a great time. Many more were caught but those were the nicer ones.
  25. Fishing this weeked was great. Today I only had a couple of hours to fish due to having to come back home. I got on the lake around 8am fished til 10am. As i was backing my boat out of the slip I saw shad just rippling the waters surface. I made the executive decision to turn the big motor off and jump on the deck. I told my fishing partner "I dont believe there is any need to leave here." We litterally fished and area about and acre in size. During that short time my best five went 17.4 lbs. I fished the dam area and focused my time in the gut of a creek above submerged trees. 76fow with the fish I was targeting suspended 22fow to 42 fow. My bait of choice was a 5/8 oz underspin with a 3.8 kitech. I made Long cast and allowed it to drop for 5 seconds on the shallower fish and 13 seconds on the deeper fish. Super super super slow reeling. When they hit it, they were crushing it. Other areas that seemed to be productive this weekend were main lake points leading into creek channels where deeper water was available. Again, same technique as above. The guy in the red shirt is my brother in law's nephew. He has only been on a larger body of water like the rock twice. Both times were with me. Last year and this year same time of the year. After the trip last year he was hooked, after today, he became obsessed. Today he caught the biggest fish he has ever caught. It was fun to be a part of.
