My wife and I launched at about 6:00 and headed to Clevenger. Started out throwing Whopper Plopper and Redfin, nothing on top water. We then threw swimbaits and spinnerbaits no luck there. Wife went to the Ned and I threw the spilt shot rig with a green pumpkin fish doctor. Had the boat setting in 20 to 25 feet of water and casting to the bank. The bite ended about 9:30 when the sun got higher in the sky. We were off the water by 11:00. All the fish was caught on the Ned or spilt shot rig. We ended the day with 10 bass, 3 keepers, all was smallies except for 1 spot. 1 of the smallies was a 4 lbs. and 12 oz. my biggest smallie to date. Water temp. was 69. It was getting crazy with all of the pleasure boaters, it was like a holiday weekend.
