Mentioned to Sue that we need to find some chanterelle spots. Will have to try these ringless honey mushrooms from the yard. Maybe we'll get those chickens again this year.

Belated Mother's day meal. Ribeye steak covered with sauted mushroom mix. Scallops, creamed spinach and herb roasted potatoes.

I have had curried goat at a Jamaican restaurant at the request of a friend of mine. I liked it. Felt like goat needs a decent braise. A little gamier tasting than lamb. More like mutton.

I never fished it when I lived in Columbia. In my opinion most banks were too slick to safely fish and I didn't have a boat. Pretty much heard that most river species, carp, buffalo, catfish, sturgeon, etc. being caught. Heard about lots of oddball "non-river" fish like smallmouth bass and others being caught in the scour holes at I-70 crossing near Rocheport. Had to have come from the Missouri. After the last few floods, those holes should be restocked.

Yes on my target list. Need to catch it on hook and line for it to click for me . Figured that Georgia or Florida was more likely a location to catch one of those guys. Definitely a big mullet like a Billy Ray Cyrus mullet !

In the US a college degree has dropped down to the importance that a high school degree was previously. Having a secondary degree is what most employers are looking for in a candidate. I know that I look at those higher degree folks more closely than one with a degree in a non-science field.

My wife accused me of being immature. I told her to get out of my fort! I told my wife that she drew on her eyebrows too high. She looked surprised! I threw a boomerang a few years ago. Now I live in constant fear!

I took the shell off of my racing snail thinking that it would make him faster. If anything it made him more sluggish🤣!

Trying not to be hoarders, but did pick up 20 lbs of chicken legs for $20. Broke them down into thighs and drumsticks ended with about 8 meals worth. We have a couple pork butts in deep freeze as well. Along with our venison we should be good for proteins for a couple of weeks🙂.
