  2. Mom passed away jan 5th .Thanks for your thoghts and prayers towards her and my family.John Koch
  3. I ask for your support and prayers in this difficult time.My mother who is suffering from parkinsons has struggled as long as she can.Her earthly body is giving up.She has been admitted to a nursing home, but I see no getting better, just worse.I know the only thing that would make her better is a miracle from the Lord.I pray for this but I feel this is selfish.I also pray for the Lord to take her home and out of this earthly realm. Please add her to your prayers in this difficult time.Thank you my fellow fishers of men
  4. Transmission torque convertor shudder.service the trans and add a good additive like Trans x.If the fluid is black or smells burnt , call the trans shop for ideas.with the high miles I would expect a common answer.Good luck
  5. You didnt get hooked gitnby. They did a motorvac service on your vehicle, and yes they ran your car off that machine. The detergent used is not seafoam but a very refined cleaning solution.I was once told it is the same chemical used to clean battleship guns. Most of the time the technician will physically clean the throttle plate and egr valve. The shop I used to work at charged 125 dollars for the same service 5 years ago so I dont think you got got. You also need to know fuel filters are the same as anything, you get what you pay for.If you buy a autovalue cheapy , you arent gonna get as mush filtering protection as a good quality ac delco or wix filter for example.Dang im glad I work at a sporting goods store now............................
  6. Sam I believe your right.I use the chartruse fireline .lb size 6 lb strength.I dont think it makes a diff to the crappie and I also believe it helps catching, because you can actually see the hits.On an earlier post someone was saying fish were faster then his reflexes.Maybe they are just not visible to the angler fast enough. Many fish are caught on visual hits, not just feeling a tap . \
  7. Maybe you guys have hit on the pattern and dont know it.VERY seldom do you find large numbers of quality fish in one local.Seems crappie fishing might be a little more difficult then some belive.I use one lure , one line , one pole, but I take my time, enjoy the day, and dont get excited when I dont catch any.But when you catch them, be sure to remind yourself your not an expert, you just stumbled across one................................
  8. Any bridgeless rivers around Tehren????????(((((((((thats in Iran))))))))))))))))say goodnite Dick
  9. Mary ann, cause shes more hillbilly then Ginger
  10. Is it just me or does that boat on the bank look like the photo of the ss minnow on gilligans island
  11. Buckshot, you need to ask your wife to get your medicine off the top of the refrigerator. As my kids say , I think your wacked out on the stuff............................................................I havent caught a crappie in years and dont know where they are, the lakes are full of stunted ones and gar.Prolly ought to take up needlepoint
  12. I guess I need to study up on this.Arent the state record crappie in missouri pond caught fish.Ive seen huge fish caught from gated community ponds where little if no fishing occurs.I guess im just confused, as I have also seen community watersheds so full of stunted fish they want you to keep anything you catch and high limits..........And I dont know any local ponds outside of the clever area that have good crappie fisheries, also by the way, that have large and not meaning huge bass, but large populations of bass and hybrid gills
  13. So you think a guy could get that searay pretty cheap.I wanna use it to make waves around the shell knob area>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>heheheheheheh
  14. Had a great day at the K today.I even caught a 6 lb flathead on a crappie jig this am.Was suprised at how calm the lake was , and marveled at the beauty of nature.Saw a very large flight of doves early, many hummingbirds on thebluff getting ready to leave and green wing teals flying around.NOw I get back to the ramp, need I say the ramp I have used for 40 plus years .I get a note about how concerned someone was of my parking prowess. He must know me personally because I can and am often an as-ho-e.But the thing that bothered me most was he was so conciderate in bringing to my attention the fact of my , in his mind , lousey parking job , that he forgot to concider the chance that I had a pencil too, only a very few vehicles there and I dumped in before daylight, I was the 2nd vehicle on an acre parking lot. If he doesnt know how to back a boat trailer to a single lane ramp, I cant seem to think my having a clue ill help him at all. I promise Ill try harder to please you note writer , and If you would like to debate this further Leave me a note inthe rain and ill do what I did to your first note, I wiped my tail with it........................
  15. Tell you what Ill do.Let me use the boat free of charge for 3 years, and on the begining of the fourth year ill make a few payments and then try to sell it so I can have a dang good down for my new boat.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Laugh and the whole world laughs with you. Smile and they wonder what your up to.
  16. So after 2 days we figured out where the ramp was, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,are the whites still at it.I might try for some if Some one will chime in and give a thurs morning or evening report.Im interested in the dam area if any one knows .Thanks.

  18. Oneshot you and me are in the same boat.Vitamin D huh.Might just try that. I was worried myself as the ticks here are big as box turtles.
  19. Bill it sounds like the correct individuals have been notified. If you dont know who did it I wouldnt stir up too much.Your gonna make the wrong cowboy mad one of these days. The process of dropping trees, illegal or not has been going on for as long as there have been fisherman, Idiots with electronics or not.On bull shoals lake it happens often.I personally have never had a part in it but have seen them. The conservation dept has dropped many trees in and not weighed them down, just cut and drop.So have many hillbillys.Im betting you dont Bass fish around many of these structures anyway, Just us lowly crappie fishermen do that.If its not legal dont do it .If its not legal tell the authorities and go on with your day and catch fish and enjoy. On a lighter note I noticed on bull yesterday almost every tree along the bank line has died.Maybe the corp can take advantage of this and drop a few dead ones in the lake.
  20. I have a lite blue older champion python with a 50 horse mercury, pull it with a black 4 door 4x4 hd2500 silverado.I am going sunday am and maybe monday with my father in a black older terry bass boat.
  21. Sam what kinda boat do you have??
  22. I saw tons of doves on bull shoals lake bottoms below K dock last week already
  23. 15 to 20 feet down.Lots of brush with in 1 quarter mile of ramp. They are also big blacks and lonnnng white crappie.I ate them last nite and couldnt believe how thick the fillets where. Im sorry crappie ,but the brush piles I know of have been placed by mother nature and man.Mother nature usually leaves stumps.man leaves cinder blocks and cable to hang up on.I have seen some fresh chainsaw work on the banks.I believe this is against the law , but it is done.Remember they cant drag those trees to far out from the bank.so look where steep banks are and channel swings. And also I couldnt belive it but I caught most of the fish in an area that was covered in gar.Shad where so thick you couldnt get an accurate reading below 12 feet either
