went back out Saturday am looking to replicate Friday at similar but different places. Caught some on the jig again but not like the day before. Went back out Saturday night after dark with a dark 10" power worm. Didn't catch many but caught this one which made it worth while.

I had to wait until legal daylight until I fix a broken bow light socket today. Saw a little TW action before then but just singles here and there.

A little nugget shared last night for those that use Daves jigs with the braided guard....

Got on the water around 6. Threw a buzz bait for a few minutes for good measure with no luck. Graphed some fish on secondary point and drop shotted them for a bit. Caught 1 keeper spot, a short SM and LM 18" off the bottom in 23'. Tried the underspin and straight swim jig with no luck. Switched to a 1/2oz jig and found fish on short and tall bluffs and ends. Caught 4 keeper spots, a keeper LM and a handful of short spots.

Great job tonight Dave! Thank you for taking the time share with others. I strategically scheduled tomorrow off to get a day on the water by myself before the wife and kids arrive tomorrow night. Allowed me to stop in on the way through and glad I did. David

Good call. Be safe, share reports and keep looking over you shoulder in high traffic areas...blind corners with boats entering and exiting coves. Bo knows nights, so keep tabs on his reports. And don't pass up fishing dark big profile baits around lighted docks.

Try the clear florescent floro coated p-line. It's not like straight Floro but happy medium for night fishing with the black light.

I use it with Florescenf line and like it a lot. What's your reason for not using florescent line?

Equipment shouldn't be an issue. Anything better IMO would really be trying to reach perfection. Would stick with Hunters advice when needed and work on rigging the little guy as straight/true as possible.

Great stuff Bo. Keeping the brown and blue elites to yourself?? I couldn't find them on your website but may have just missed them looking on my phone. Curious about some specifics if you don't mind sharing sometime. Line size?, fluorescent with a black light? Dragging or hopping? Thanks for the report. Keep them coming.

Welcome Slyguy. The line twists could be from the size of spool. What reel/size are you using? The wider the better. It's then compounded by the tail getting twisted on the hook and coming back to the boat doing barrel rolls. Gotta make sure it's rigged as straight as possible. Could also be the rod. Depending on how it loads when you cast could make for a more violent send off. Don't need to try and throw it a mile. Just get it out the and let it do its thing. Could also go to braid with the flouro leader but that can be tricky at times.
