Ok Dave.... You mention colored or stained water is best for warts. What about clear water. No wart bite?...or different colored wart?

Please expand on the braid and floro leader set up. Suggested brands of braid? Length of leader? Thanks

Turkey butt jigs are one thing. Under belly ground hog hair is another. Not sure I want to know where on the underside the hair comes from. Ditto working with Dave on ordering jigs. But that's only a part of it. The informative posts and videos further reinforce his character and selflessness. Thanks Dave.

Bumping buzz baits on the submerged power poles feeding docks worked well for me. A good couple of weekends i won't forget.

Champ & Rangerman, Sitting on my ars with the flu for the last 3 days allowed me to do plenty of reading, so I can appreciate both of your comments! And for the record, my tournament Jersey consist of an old gray t-shirt, cargo shorts and flip flops.

That's good stuff! Maybe we can invite the Omega Mu's over. And then streak the quad....."I don't know if we'll have time...have a pretty nice little Saturday scheduled. Home Depot, buy some wall paper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe bed bath and beyond. I don't know if we'll have enough time..." Had to throw in some Old School quotes....!

Scott, Glad you joined on. We have a place just outside of Beardsley so when I saw your post and the warm welcome from others I decided to register myself. Fall hunting and kids sports keep us from going down year round, so my experience is limited to the seasonal pattern I get to fish. I don't catch a lot of quality fish in Beardsley, but do just outside of the mouth on the main lake and secondary points near the channel. Lot's of guys fish the island, but I haven't had much luck there either. I do well with the usual, PB&J finesse jigs, drop shots and shaky heads...and now after crawling out from underneath a rock and reading this board, will be using the Ned Rig. Night fishing in the summer can be incredible. I had boat problems one night last summer which kept me confined to a few local docks and caught 6 fish in an hour. 1 Spot and 5 Large Mouths. The last 2 were back to back casts and pushed 7lbs each, within the cables! A memorable night for sure. Thanks all for your insight. I'll try to stay active and provide relevant info as I can.
