Anytime J, Stockton and Pomme are both good fisheries, and you have a good chance to catch numbers and quality. Of course, that depends on if you spit on your bait or not. Im up for a challenge. Looking on Google Maps Beaver looks like a lake i fished often in Ohio..Lots of structure, and I love structure.

Hey River, Let me know when your free and i will take ya out on Stockton or Pomme. Man the days of shoulder to shoulder on the Maumee. Snagging 10 other guys line across the river, and fightin it like i had a whopper. Good ol' days. There is great fishing here. I do miss the 5lb average smallie near the bass islands on Erie, and my little honey hole, Oxbow Lake west of Wauseon, but have a lot of memories here now. Hit me up and we will go fish soon, especially since the whites will be running on Pomme.

How good of a fishery is Beaver? Ive driven by it many times, but never fished. Its a lake i rarely hear about, but within resonable drive for most of us.

Quill and Bill, thanks for the info. Listening to the others, there isnt any fish in that part of the lake, and my motors to small to go far, so i may just float down river and catch a rock, tree, stump, or whatever else will bite, and weigh that in.

Hey Gator, Your whirligigless boat should work. If it catches more fish without that, then we may have to make a slight modification to the rule book. Thanks again Larry, Academy had the whole chest, with aerator and all for sale, I didnt even look at the price, but they do have one. Im pretty sure, in a short amount of time, and little money, that one could be made. Youtube can be your friend for those looking for ideas.

Looking at this map, how far should one expect to fish for the get together? Whats a resonable distance from the ramp? How far from the ramp is the Ar. line? How wide is it in this area of the lake? Sorry for all the questions.

Can i get an idea on where Eagle Rock is? I looked it up but it shows me 2 different places on the map, opposite ends of the lake. Thanks

It even brightened up the decals. Im inpressed with the way it turned out. Had a guy who makes his living detailing boats, volunteer to do it for $250.00. It cost me $30 and looks good.

yes on the acid. Toilet bowl cleaner, CLR, Simple Green, etc. wouldnt touch the buildup on my boat. This stuff left nothing behind. A good polish this weekend will have her coated and ready for this year. I was to embarressed to show up at Quills thing with it in its pre-bath condition.

Bill, they do have wonderful steaks, but unlike TR, they have some of the best fish ive tasted. The chicken alfredo is top notch. Kids usually have a burger, and say their great. The service, food, building, all make it one of my top places when asked by friends and family where to go. We have not had one of them say it wasnt great. They only thing they dont have, is the rolls. If you need company, the Mrs. and I could join ya one Sat. evening.

While shopping at Academy the other day, I noticed an aluminum hull cleaner. I was going to buy JJV's Best on Amazon that evening, but this stuff was cheaper. I only bought 1 bottle, to try on the back of the boat. After doing the back, and seeing the difference, we went back from the carwash,and bought 2 more bottles, and used both on the sides. I probably over did it, but wanted it clean, with no streaks. It is $9.99 for a 32oz bottle. I used my spray handle out of a bottle i had. it screwed right on. It says to mix it 50/50, but the guys i talked to, said for heavy lime like mine, to use it out of the bottle.. The boat looks really good in person now.

Dang, i almost forgot the NEW, BEST place in town. Its in the same parking lot as Texas Roadhouse. Its FD's and the food is the best. if not i will buy your dinner.

Mexican Villa is nasty. Ask the health inspector. The BBQ place across from Bass Pro is great. We eat there often. Another place on Glenstone just south of Battlefield is Cheddars. Great food and clean.

Boat was pretty nasty with lime buildup and water stains and just crud. Last few weeks Ive talked to a couple of guys on the best way to go about cleaning an aluminim boat, One told me to sand it, which i said nope, aluminum is thin as it is, and the other from the LOZ area said he doesnt due aluminum anymore, as he could never find a way to get them clean. Thanks to several youtube videos, and with the sun shining today, I tackled it. Here are a few before and after, and the rear picture you can see the acid eating the lime and crud off. Now the fun task, polish it with a buffer this weekend.

That lake had been so low for the past few years, it makes me sick to see it like that. The beach area on the Okie side near Burns Run, you can walk out literally 100 yards before your feet get wet. I guess it congregates the fish more, but crap, give them some water. I was down there this past weekend, at The American Rodeo at AT&T Stadium, and they received several inches of snow, on a few occasions, so maybe that will help.
