  1. I would bet i could catch a fish or 2 more every outing than I currently do.
  2. With the sales BP has going on fishing stuff, i could have bought a pretty nice rig for what i have spent the past 30 days with new Garmins, tackle, and 3 new combos. I AM going to get that PCP set up tho.
  3. I used to keep this crap organized. I would come hone from tournament or fishing and spend an hour getting it all cleaned up again. Slowly it got to where when i need it i just dig through the mess.
  4. Prepping for the start of our club season tomorrow. I’m sure a lot of you have this issue. In this compartment alone there are over 100 hard baits still in the package. Next compartment back has many more in Plano boxes. Between 4 areas i keep baits in i bet there are 200 packages of soft plastics. I have 16 rods in locker and 9 on the deck. This is the same stuff that is in/on the boat every day of the year, not put in just for tournament season. I bet i could gain 2 mph if i reduced this weight.
  5. Thanks Mike, but this was all her. She has a lot invested in these chicks, time more than anything. We had them in a plastic tub before, and would get home from work and they were roaming the house pooping everywhere. She got a bigger tub, cut a big hole out of the lid and zip tied wire over the hole so they could fly out. She comes home daily from her nurse job and spends an hour redoing their stuff. She is very committed. The chickens are her relaxation.
  6. These little chicks are finally big enough to go outside. Will keep them separated from the others for a week or so before letting them roam. The house can finally smell like candles and not shavings mixed with crap.

    Dos Coons

Never have caught 2 in the same trap.
  8. There’s some awesome YouTube videos of this. Last year i had several on my trailer, and when i got to the launch spot my yak had been dragging the road for a few miles. Hole you can put your fist in right on the nose. Lots of guys use plastic 5 gallon buckets to repair. Heat it up. Look for videos. I’m about to do mine. I’m going to foam fill the nose through the hole, then glass it over.
  9. Bass Pro has some good looking blade baits for $3.29. I have a few but never tied one on.

    Appreciate it.
  11. Hope to see ya there. I’m usually at the ramps an hour early. Maroon Skeeter. White F450 flatbed truck.

    And via text.
  14. I have 1 that wants to set. I may just let her in a few weeks. Second batch of eggs in the incubator didn’t work out, so I’m done with those. Good luck little lady.

It is, but what isn’t crazy priced nowadays? Including wrenches hourly rate.
  16. We start off our season this year out of Bolivar Landing. 7:00 to 3:00. Solo series so 1 guy per boat. 4 fish limit. No A-Rigs 100% payback on entry and big bass. $50.00 entry, $10.00 optional big bass. Added sponsorship money this season. I can meet you anytime. Been working north of Springfield so haven’t been down that way in 6 months.
  19. I say just try it. Take whatever shotgun you own, carry it out into the woods and see how that trip goes. Your biggest issue is falling and shooting yourself. If you can stay upright you should be fine.

Appreciate it. I checked 2 Walmarts in Springfield yesterday and nothing. Thanks everyone for the info.
  21. So your left arm has zero function, or limited use? A 20 gauge with light shells would be a more delicate approach.
  22. Inflation in general. Those that run the event also deserve a pay raise like most working people, so those new fee amounts may go for the guys putting it on, and not showing up in anglers pockets.

Hey guys, youth season is coming up soon. Any of you know of a guide in Greene County or close to that has a spot to take a 7year old out on his first hunt?

No kidding. I bought 4 boxes at a farm sale recently. Father in law was at Hobbytime in Bolivar last week and said they had 50 boxes or so for $25 per box. I may run up there tomorrow. When i was a kid we could get them for $2.00 a box.

Yes sir. Those are so old the powder has probably turned to fossils.
