  1. I survived another year of crazy... Saturday we woke up, had some breakfast and then hit basspro for a bit to pick up a new hoodie wife bought me. Grabbed some more soft plastics while we were there to go beat on the bass again. Got a late start but my older two daughters still have the fish whispering down pat and the oldest hooked up on her first cast. Followed by my middle one shortly after. Nothing huge, but makes me proud they are catching all on their own, and fishing by feel too which for me took way longer to really get the hang of when I was young. It was about 90 so they didn't last too long. Wife and kids headed in and I got a few hours of quiet time to chase them on my own. Caught a couple solid fish and saw a big ol girl that would probably go 6lbs easy in the back end of the pond. I will say I'm starting to be a true believer in HUK gear. I have a few fishing shirts to keep the sun off me, but I picked up their vented hoodie and it's just a great clothing item I wish I would of found sooner. Was hot in direct sun, but had a breeze and I stayed nice and cool even with my hood up to protect my bald head lol. My dad had 9 spots on his hands and arms burned of recently so I am trying to be more cautious when out in the sun. Overall was a great day too spend with the wife and kiddos.

  3. We'll chalk it up to just one more thing that didn't work out for me that day... The way my day was going I fully expected to fall in before the weigh in LOL
  4. Went out for a few hours this morning. Bass were close to bank on beds. Left those there and targeted fish a bit further out on soft plastics and some swim baits. Caught 10 in about an hour and a half before work. Some dinks, but a few nice ones
  5. Other phones back up. Will have to try laptop tomorrow.
  6. I knew I liked you JD! Well just have to have you fish with Seth and I need time. Then we'll really have him confused lol
  7. I blew away all network settings, browser settings, updated browser, reset phone and I still am not able to get in on my Verizon phone. Sprint phone is working just fine... Work laptop is down too, but not ruling out work network yet.
  8. It's weird in that some devices work and others do not. BilletHead is totally broken with no devices working... I'm down to just one cell phone that still works...
  9. Haha, that's not jdmidwest that's me! Lol. Being Seth's personal net boy is a tough job... I fully blame my dismal performance in the tourney on constantly almost screwing up netting his constant string of fish Was a great trip despite the stupid snow and cold. I got a sweet duck out of the deal too! Good luck this weekend man. Hope you get into them.
  10. Still dead at work Phil. IP is 164.144.252.28 This all seems very familiar to what Bill was experiencing...
  11. Mid morning I was down on all my devices Phil. On our Network at work and tried our mobile device network and 2 different cell carriers. Was busy when I got home then obviously I'm back on both mobile devices right now... Weird... I'll check first thing in the am on my usual work network and let ya know
  12. I did not do any ju ju magic on my end. Forum was down for a bit this morning for me. Wonder if they did an update on their end? @Phil Lilley Let me know Bill if all of your devices are back working. Thanks
  13. Hit SDC today. We are coaster junkies and the new Time Traveler did not disappoint. Hour and a half wait was a bummer, but my older 2 really wanted to ride it. Was worth it. It's a great ride. So the flood gates being open really throws a wrench into how we like to fish at night. I went down last night and casted a bit from basically the bank. My cuz stayed back and I didn't want to venture to far as with this much water it becomes a safety thing. We went back tonight and tried to find spots asking the bank, but ended up right next to outlet one. Fish were hungry and fiesty. Hammering orange and sculpin, white and grey, and I hit one on a trout patterned stick. My cuz had a nice one on. Would barely got in his net, I tried to assist and got his first Tangled up in my net and line... Wish we could of landed it. Prolly close to 18in or so. Also had a little brownie come play. Caught a mix bag of small and decent but nothing huge. No more Walters either... But I'll take it for crummy water conditions for wade fishing lol
  14. The kiddos struck out this morning... We even hit the kiddie pool, but it was vacant of any fish. They were def in a weird pattern today, and most of the time in places we weren't. Caught fish but not many. Same sculpin jig, and some on a spoon. Nothing of size either. Around 4 my cuz caught a 21in walleye by the 1st out let. Was a fat chunky sucker. We called it a day, grabbed a knife and board, and cleaned and bagged some filets.
  15. So was a bit slow by my standards last night. 5 bows and 2 Walters. All on a sculpin and orange with a brown head 3/32 jig. We called it early as we both had long days at work and driving in the rain takes it out of ya. Went out this morning and caught a nice male and missed a few... Taking my circus aka my girls down here in a bit lol. We'll see how long they last.
  16. It's working again.
  17. Not a bad way to start things off...
  18. @Phil Lilley Is the tailwater gauge not working? They are generating, but on the core site its showing lake level still at 701.25...
  19. Thanks buddy! I'm sure I'll get maybe a few hours in
  20. Wouldn't be the same without ya around Wrench!
  21. Dropping this here as I will be hitting the road again soon to head to my favorite place. My cuz and I will be hitting it hard this weekend, but my girls and his sons are coming so we hope to get them all out on Friday water and weather permitting. Also have some newbies coming down with me too, so hopefully I can plant the seed with them and start a new addiction chasing Taney trout. I'll try to take more pics this trip. Last time was too cold! If anyone would like to join us for some night fishing or day fishing just shoot me an IM. Or if you see my ugly mug around don't be a stranger! We'll be in either a red Durango or a Black F150. Tight Lines!
  22. So in my 3 short years since I've found OzarkAnglers I finally hit 1000 posts! Just wanted to give a big thanks again to Phil for providing such an awesome piece of the internets for us to hang out on. I have met some really awesome people through the site that I now call friends, which would have never been possible without this place bringing us together. The amount of knowledge I've learned here has also made me a better fisherman ten fold. Although it has sparked a fishing addiction in me which I struggle to feed with my crazy life and work schedule. Thanks all that have made this such a cool place!
  23. I met a few forum guys a while back who fished Yaks at night around the trophy area. I wade fish at night and have never seen a boat at night up there in all the times I've been there. As Duane said the fog can get crazy thick when it warms up.
  24. Rain or they releasing from Beaver? Lots of up and down flows looks like for this weekend huh. Can't wait! Bringing some newbies with me, hope the fish cooperate! Sounds like the bites picked up.
