Edyer, the SM looked full. But we did not search any spawning areas. Next weekend's big bass tourney should be interesting. Last year only 1 fish over 6 lbs. this year might be quite different.

Well we started up river from long creek marina at 7am. First stop was a little cut between 2 bluffs. Caught the SM in the picture on a WW. WT was 51. Through the the day til 2 pm we caught 25 more but no other keepers. Most were LM all under 15". We eventually found WT that was 58.5. We also found a nice spinner bait and an original fire tiger WW in the water that we now have in our tackle box. Finally I found more that I lost.

We started out at the mouth of Indian Point at 10:30. WT was 51 and a good color about 3-4' visibility. Caught the SM keeper at 11:10 on a WW and the fat green fish at 11:45 on a gp jig. From then on we were on bill Babler's 8 fish pattern. The other 6 were a mix of SM and LM in the 13-14" size. Besides the WW and the jig also caught them on a gp shaky head. All the fish were caught in <10' . That is my son-in-law holding the SM. He caught the 3.70 also. He had three firsts this trip. Largest SM ever for him and largest spot on TR and the 5 he caught were the most he's caught in an outing. By the way we took out around 4 and eventually found 56 WT.

Bassblind, it looked like on the map that your house sits in Stone County but the Boat dock sits in Barry County. Is that so? does it create any problems?
Mike
Ketchup, thanks for the report. Springtime weather! One day the fish are shallow the next day they slide out to the deep a bit. Saturday should be the 2nd day of stable weather so maybe that will help. Good luck in the club tourney.
