You have 2 major things... finding the fish and getting them to bite...just like abk and bassbuster said they could be there today and gone tomorrow... I'm out here at Kimberling City now trying to find them..
I fergot to mention the most important part of this tournament i going to...spending 3 days with my son..although we only live 8 miles apart and he has a family to tend to , you just don't get that much quality time together as they get older.
I'm headed to Kimberling City tomorrow to fish the Champion owners / Basscat Tourney....It's the one and only Tournament i fish and as it is a fund raiser for Fish 4 Tales and i suck at fishing anyways...lol
Not as many tournaments this weekend as there where last year in the area.
Oh by the way that is an owner stinger treble hook and an owner hyper 70lb snap retaining the hook to the spoon.....lol...so you shouldn't have to change the hooks....lol
Was out there yesterday and only saw 2 recreational boats out a no Fisherman.. water temp was 77 degrees, fairly Windy also. I mostly drove around stirring up the water.
I put in at Big M yesterday at about 1 pm and only saw i wake boat and 1 cruiser on the water and that was around 2:30 pm...Big M parking lot was empty, water temp was around 77 degrees water visibility was maybe 2 foot deep and yes it was windy but as they say the wind is your friend.
I like saltwater fish better than freshwater fish, except for catfish...I guess i got spoiled when i lived in Florida on the Gulf coast about a mile from the gulf...
I have heard pros and cons of SI on the bow....i think you have to be moving at about 2 mph for it to work the last i heard....I have a helix 7 sonar and down scan on the bow....i believe it's like golf balls and golf clubs it would be a personal choice....lol
Thanks for report!!
Seems the fishermen attract the tubers and wake boaters....maybe we have imaginary signs on our boats that say"please swamp me".....or i like to be rocked out of my boat by your wake...lol
