Who's gona watch the eclipse Monday?? suppose to happen here around 11:30 am around here ..... maybe a good time to go fishing since most people gona watch eclipse...lol

I use to have a lowrance to navigate by 20 some years ago but no gps.....30 miles off shore in the Gulf of Mexico in an 18 foot boat sure feels lonely out there and better have a a gps or lowrance to get home by or a good compass.

Thanks for the report Quill!! you did good!! You did better than i did..i went towards eagle rock and could not even find anything to get excited about on sonar, water was pretty dirty up there. Yep that was the first time i have ever seen water patrol in that area...i guess it would be like cops going to the doughnut shop. It was a pleasure meeting Quillback for sure!!

They do that stopped in the middle stuff up on the upper end of the White River in the narrow areas also, plus the wake boats and tubes in the same area.... it's almost like an obstacle course to get by them.

Alcohol consumption doesn't help either..

Isn't there a zero tolerance for alcohol for the boat operator on the lakes and waterways ? im not a consumer of alcoholic beverages so never paid attention that's why i asked... One another note, i have never seen water patrol anywhere from Campbell point to eagle rock either.

Some one said they had record breaking boats sales this year..don't know if it is true or not....but it sounds like it...

Nice looking fish rps and thanks for the report.. I have fought the urge all last month to go fishing just knowing what was in store for me. All schools around here should be in session by Wednesday.. As I grow older I get grumpier and since I carry a fire arm that I would be in trouble..but on the bright side there would be a few new artificial reefs for the fish to call home....lol

It said to print off the receipt that they email you when you buy on line and that is your pass until the other one comes in the mail.

You did good M&M i just got mine ordered...it is 20 bucks to do on line but well worth the 20 bucks....10 bucks for the pass and 10 dollar processing fee.....id spend that much in gas running to go buy one from here... Thanks

I have a cheap ABU Garcia Cardinal 25 bucks and a shimano sedona 2500 60 dollar reel(bought on sale for 30) and they both do the same job.

I pulled up to the dock and tied boat up and then a kid pops up out the water and says HI!...kids where swimming under the dock and mom was on the beach and not saying a word...this was at shell knob boat ramp...

I just put together a 1997 F 150 supercab 4x4 with the 4.6 V8 in it..tow capacity for it is 6,000 pounds tow capacity for my 2002 Ford Ranger is 5750 pounds...doesn't make much sense...Both trucks have 16 inch tires and same rear end in them...lol

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger supercab 4x4 that i tow my boat with has the v6 in it with 4.10 gears, my boat motor and trailer weighs somewhere around 3,000 pounds, truck pulls does a good job pulling the boat i have no complaints and where i live it's all hilly, i just lock it out of overdrive and go on, the only issue i have is stopping power as there are no brakes on boat trailer. Truck weighs around 4,000 pounds with a 3,000 pound trailer pushing it....i get about 13 mpg towing 17/18 running around here empty and about 19-20 on highway if i keep it under 80mph...truck also has 260,000 miles on it.

Since im on SS i don't get raises...lol....I just can't bring myself to pay 50,000 for a truck and 70,000 plus for a boat, especially since im 64 years old...lol..so thats why i have a 1989 champ and a 1997 F150 and a 2002 Ranger with 260,000 miles on it...lol..F150 is the newest member in my family it only has 197,000 miles on it...lol

I was looking for a tin boat and came home with a glass boat, couldn't find a tin boat for what i paid for my glass boat...lol
