Son and I fished the TOC out of Kimberling City yesterday i caught one fish in about 5 foot of water on a war eagle spinner( sexy Mouse) and fish stretched the spinner bait out straight and it weighed 2.69 pounds ...the winning team caught 18.4 pounds for 5 fish in which they had big bass at 6.25 pounds said he ran way up the james river and caught them all on jigs fishing wind blown banks seems like around 9:30 am all the fish disappeared ......I would have to say out of 57 boats only half of them had fish.... I was going to run up the James River and something told me to stay close to Kimberling City and i know why ...went to leave from where i was about a mile from port and my starter crapped out, my son pulled the cowling off motor and beat the heck out of the starter with a 1/2 inch drive ratchet while i was turning key and motor started and we headed in to weigh in...

I was down by point 23 this afternoon water temp was 76-77.....i put in at shell knob around 11:30...did manage 1 keeper and had several following it on coleslaw flutter spoon..was basically out trying to figure out my new Helix and how to decipher what i was looking at on screen....saw balls of bait fish in 15- 40 fow seems fish was around them but no takers..

I dont know where you was Larry but between shell knob and BigM water temps where 76-77 degrees....and yes no surface bite seems bait fish was holding 15-40 fow and bass was following them... i didnt get on water till around 11:30 did manage a keeper on a cole slaw flutter spoon and 2 little ones on a wiggle wart..

  12. Nice cheese!! thanks for the report!! I was wanting to go out couple times last week but being on antibiotics for a sinus infection they said stay out of the sun...My son and i are going to be in a tournament this coming weekend out of Kimberling City be first tourney ever at age 62...lol

  14. I wear my inflatable all the time while on the water ...i have the Onyx 24 manual / automatic...i'll probably wear my other vest style PDF in the winter as it will help keep me warm...

  25. When i was around over there Monday cheese there was bait fish everywhere around the mouth of Bear den creek.
