Couldn't agree more, sad day really.

Well...... I figured I would get this fired up.... Coming down Saturday - Tuesday. How are things looking in this area, is there a big mud line coming from the Kings?

Keep after it! Good luck fishing with your son in the coming weeks!

Please be mindful of scammers reaching out with items for sale. I had someone message me on here saying they had a friend with the item i was looking for and an email address. Both had accounts on the site, but the messages are now gone from my inbox. It smelled scammy but figured i would play along to see how they went about things. They wanted me to venmo or Zelle the money for the item, i looked at the venmo and noticed where they had got someone for a rod. asked for their phone number to call, it was a Houston, TX area number, went to voice mail with a middle eastern recording. Be diligent!

Managed to get out a few mornings this week, Monday until 8:00 AM or so and Tuesday a little later. I was able to get a great friend and vendor out on Tuesday morning for a bit, he had never experienced table rock so it was quite the treat. The deep fishing takes some time to figure out but he did great with a little swimmer and figured out the dixie jet. Had 30+ fish Monday morning, it was incredible fishing, a double on top to start things off, that was the only TW bite i had. had a 14 in a row streak with the little swimmer, they were just chewing good. Went to try a crappie hole and they were there too, biting the Jet on every drop. several in the 14'-15' range, dinner plate size. My time ran out and had to get to work. Tuesday was not as fast a furious but we ended with 40+ combined, the crappie slid up under the dock another 10' and we couldn't get to them. All in all an excellent few mornings. I haven't been able to get down much this year but enjoying the time i can. 3/4oz Dixie Jet and 1/4 oz swimmer did almost all the damage.

Went down to the little pond again last night and made a few casts. This one decided to try and swallow it.

I picked up a few last night from Bullseye Bait and Tackle here in O'Fallon, MO. Went down to the neighborhood pond to see how it worked and had this one first cast!

Definitely a bait you don't lose many of, i had a dozen hanging in the basement and that many more headed my way.....oh well, could be spending the money in a tavern...... come to think of it, i have been using the same one since i got them, replaced the hooks a few times, she is definitely beaten and battered but still catchin em.

Thanks for the heads up, one of my favorites.

Keep an eye on the Wal Mart stores near you, as much as I dislike shopping there, it is a good source of shot shells at the most reasonable price you will find anywhere. I have been able to pick up several boxes there the last few months. Midway USA usually has them too.

Good Afternoon, I am on the hunt for a Remington 870 in 410 and 20 gauge, prefer the wingmaster but open to others. I have some trade items or cash, whichever is preferred. Thanks! Brad

I'm just a young buck at 35 but caught my first keeper bass on Table Rock at 5 on a flip tail worm fishing from the bank on Campbell's point with my dad. We would wade out on the slippery rocks and fish until they ate all of our tackle or it got dark. Times change, as with everything, no more fishing between Campbell's point and the marina from the bank or boat. That's a bummer, but again, more people and the way things evolve. Like many, I'm not a fan of change but in many instances, it's just the way it goes. Randy makes some good points but overall you can say the same thing for many lakes across Missouri and the country. The fish have changed the way they operate to some extent and it may require different techniques to be as successful as you once were. If your not willing to roll with the punches and fish outside the box then quit complaining. One thing i have noticed, due to social media, is some of the guide trips that are posted. Not bashing guides to any extent but i notice some of them posting limits of bass to go under the knife every day. When you run 2-3 trips a day in the summer months that can really put a hurting on them. In no way am I against catching and keeping some fish (bass, crappie, catfish, trout, walleye) whatever you like to eat, but the way these guys pile them up day in and day out cant be helpful.

If anyone is thinking about making a trip and hiring a guide I would highly recommend Jimmy Doering, Cast N Catch Charters LLC. Very fun to be in the boat with and does an excellent job, he has guided many to 7+ pound smallmouth and finally caught one himself yesterday! -

We usually just stay at the Super 8 or the Americinn in Sturgeon Bay. There are a lot better places to stay than that, they are just the cheapest option. Great place to bring the family as well, each town on the peninsula has plenty of entertainment -

@Johnsfolly here is a picture of the ducks, we had a rare day with minimal wind to get out there after them. -
I figured i would share my trip to get the winter fishing blood pumping! Visited Green Bay last week for a few days, duck hunt for Old Squaws one day and Smallmouth the next. We ended up doing very well on both outings, most fish came on a tube, small swim bait and an A rig. Great time as always and they about rip the rod out of your hand with the rig. Ended up with 28.5lb for our best 5 - 6.21lb big bass and 10+ over the 5lb mark. Unbelievable fishery and hope to get back up there this spring/summer

I still have 3 springfields left if anyone is interested, shoot me a message
