  1. As I have pointed out in the past I really enjoy drop-shot fishing in the summer. I mainly fished the lower lake area and have six to eight good points that I can consistently catch three to five fish on each stop and periodically one of them will be loaded and can sit there for several hours catching fish. I cannot see a lot of difference between each of the points that I fish and why one is better than the other. Would anybody be willing to share some tips with me on what to look for on the points that I am fishing or new types of points to look at. There is one particular point in front of our house Southwest of Indian point that is super long and slow to drop that I see a lot of people fish but I rarely can catch them on it what am i missing? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I have been looking at that trip myself
  3. There may have been a lot of fishing pressure but we went out for a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours every evening. And it wasn't too bad. We caught a ton of keeper size bass and several walleye on drop shot with nightcrawlers. The best walleye being 28 inches. The keeper size bass ratio was excellent.
  4. That's where they were not sure why they couldn't get much action. I will be down there Thursday.
  5. Had some people I know down there last 2 days caught 15 to 20 per day. but I'm seeing and hearing of people catching a hundred a day any idea what part of the river they are in?
  6. It was pretty tough we caught a dozen 50/50 split between males and females evenly scattered from power lines to above 10 bridge One really nice bonus hybrid. A lot of people we talked to only either had one or two or none.we could only get bites trolling we never could get it by casting.
  7. I'm heading down tommorow hopefully they have moved in. Any suggestions where to start and work up from?
  8. I heard several are catching today. They have not moved all the way up though
  9. It's about time to get this thread going again. I hope this year is better than last year.

  14. I love to drop shot for some reason with livescope. Had 2 small kids fishing with me and they really get a kick out of watching the fish swim over to their bait.
  15. Friday through Monday fished everyday. 630-1030. Only did drop shot on gravel points had over 100 fish and about 35 keepers.
  16. So... Are we heading UP the lake just a little bit with every boat??
  17. I may try tonight or tomorrow night just got in from fishing this morning. pretty good day drop shotting little slower than the other day. You may take a nap so I can stay up tonight.
  18. I'm not counting on it. Lol.
  19. I am down at our cabin for the next two to four days and I have never fished at night and I'm curious what I should be fishing with. I am near the Indian point area. Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated.
  20. That's how it was Sunday up aunts Creek. The wake boats have found their way up there and since it is a smaller more narrow area I think it is way worse than being on the main lake. What was the deciding factor for me to leave was while I was looking at the live scope screen The waves were making me sea sick. I was in a deep v aluminum boat. And the nose of my boat would go several feet in the air to the tip of the boat was in the water. With water crashing over top of my trolling motor.
  21. Got on the water at 645. Off at 1030 when the wake boats beat me to death. Sat on one gravel run-out with a log on the bottom the whole time drop shotting night crawlers with live scope. 24 ft of water 17 spots/smallies 50/50 keepers 3 walleye keepers and one catfish. They would bite like crazy for 20-30 mins then slow up for 20-30 mins then back on again.
  22. Do I see jitterbugs in there? If so how much and what size are they
