  1. Is the ramp useable right now at Tucker Hollow?
  2. They practice for tour events. Those are known ahead of time. Cup and Select events are the other way.
  3. They started practice yesterday.
  4. I think he left straight from there. As we were getting there Keith Poche and a couple of others were walking to the parking lot and that was about 5:45.
  5. I have that speed on a jig rod and love it but I get what you mean.
  6. It's a deal for sure, but that SLX combo in any size for $125 to your door is nuts.
  7. Gee thanks for making me log right in and buy another one!
  8. I throw mine on a Falcon Bucoo SR 6' 6" M with a Tatula CT in 6.3:1. I like it pretty well. It casts great, is short enough to work the bait without slapping the water and is soft enough to let them get it before I pull the trigger too fast. I'm 6'1" and the size of this one is perfect. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Falcon_BuCoo_SR_Casting_Rods/descpage-FNBC.html The SLX is a great reel too for the money. I bought one and it won't be my last.
  9. Missed him last night. MDJ said he wasn't there because Academy won't let him do much at all with BPS.
  10. MDJ is gonna be a threat in this one too. He's gonna hammer them with the Ned and the finesse stuff.
  11. Last night at the meet and greet they said that it was because of Mother's Day so they voted and worked around the holiday.
  12. It's streamed live on MLF.com Just click on the MLF Live link at the top of the homepage.
  13. This is probably a stupid question, but how long should the leader be going braid to flouro?
  14. I use the Lew's TP-1 Shakey Head rod. It's either 6ft 9 inch or 6ft 11 inch in ML. I'm a fan of that one quite a bit. On the 3 that I have I have 2500 Pfleuger President spinning reels. 2 of them are 2500 and one is a 3500. I'm about to switch them all to braid with flouro leaders. I've just been too lazt to get that done.
  15. On your recommendation I picked up some pig stickers in PB&J this winter. I'm sure it's psychological, but I seemed to have a really good hookup ratio on them. I'm down to my last one, so I'll be heading to Sportsman's asap for more.
  16. I may have gotten a bad spool, but I think I'm avoiding Pline going forward on anything but straight braid. Too many times breaking off on a hookset, and I re-tie constantly. I can't say enough good things about Sunline. It seems a lot more supple than Seaguar too. I do like the Yo-Zuri mainline flouro, but you'll need to use line conditioner pretty regularly with it. It seems like it has a lot more memory than Assassin or Sniper.
  17. Wouldn't surprise me if someone bails on the spawners and has some success deep cranking the mouths of the creeks.
  18. I'll also say that I constantly re-tie and then I re-tie even more!
  19. I'll probably just hit Table Rock, but I'd like to hit the unpressured end of Bull!
  20. After breaking off a ton of jig fish, I throw finesse jigs on 14-15lb Sunline FC Sniper and bigger jigs on 17-20lb FC Sniper. I don't get any less bites and I've only broken off a couple of fish in a year. You get what you pay for on the line too. I bought Pline and that was the line that I broke the fish off with.
  21. So are any of the ramps useable at all?
  22. Those houses across NN from you guys got hammered. Glad you're all ok. We hardly had the wind pick up where we're at between the square and East Elementary.
  23. If this was next week I'd take you. Hit me up next time you're in the area.
  24. I saw a big female on a bed last wednesday, but there was very little size caught among the people that I talked too. Saw lots of empty beds. It should happen any time I'd say.
  25. You're right. I was probably more wound up about it because it was the only big bait I had with me and I was convinced I was gonna stick a big striper!
