  1. We have 2 fainting goats my wife wanted these so now we have a young male and female. Jeff and Penny are their names. Unlike most pets when they are grown you can eat them...ouch I just got slapped. Anyway here they are doing their thing.
  2. Well we fished through the rain, but it turned out to be a beautiful day. There were some really efficient anglers to spite the rough morning. I will post more info as soon as I am able to do some editing. My team took first on place walleye portion, but only because you more superior walleye fisherman didn't show, so be there next year.😀 show me up ! Most importantly it is for a good cause.
  3. I thought that too. Maybe he has one of those faces??
  4. Those are really cool ! I will take you up on the crappie advice sometime
  5. They all work. I like using some sort of float on them and don't leave to much night crawler hanging .
  6. Just keep me posted on how many accidental walleye you catch and where. I'm good you can keep the rest to yourself.😀
  7. No the chrome ones work better. I watched a youtube video where a guy cut the handle off drilled a hole in the end used it to make crawler harnesses
  8. Rps is the walleye man on table rock and he has spent the time to write a ton of info for us. To answer your question the habitat is the same but about 10 feet deeper. I do pull crank baits and it does work well at times but I just don't like it . My grandson does but even he his turning into a spooning jigging fisherman. I only see walleye about 1/2 the time on my graph. I try to fish habitat and food source. I like to fish the drop off places, and channel swings.
  9. I fished this one last year, good people lots of fun.
  10. I like the spoon....wrong brand though Try Binks if you get a chance.
  11. I guess I have always closed the bail by hand. It was the way I learned when young. I never knew why other than more control while casting. It is good to obey your teachers....sometimes
  12. using the bouncer to pull the crank bait?
  13. I agree, but their stealth braid is pretty good stuff. I still haven't tried nano
  14. I have a friend who still uses the the old mitchell spinning reels. He has taken the bail off of every one of them. He fishes them this way by simply grabbing the line with his finger after a cast hooking it under the "bearing line catcher thingy". He is so good at it one would not know that he has modified the reel. Anyone else do this and why?
  15. Me ? double uni. Tried the albright but had a couple fails. Do not over tighten the double uni that is the best trick that I have found.
  16. find my name on youtube it might help a little
  17. I have this on all my spinning reels. Having to tie a leader is the trade off, sensitivity is really good. You can reel the knot up close to the reel but if you reel it on the spool it will find it's way in between the wraps of braid. I use 10 # spiderwire steath braid and any number of different leaders.
  18. I have used shiver minnows and jigging raps. I cut the front hook off the jigging rap, if you don't it will be gone in about 5 minutes. They do work for many different species, but they are far from snag free. Expect to loose every one you throw. Really !
  19. I tried to eat a drum once thinking it should be like white bass...it's not. Also thought about a gar, took it home but I just could not do it. The water in the live well had been changed to clear snot in which the gar was now suspended. Of course I got it out but my arms and fish were covered in a 1/4. Inch of clear snot. I just could not eat it. I guess if a guy was hungry both would work.
  20. I would love to have the boat, but can't swing it right now. That is a heck of a nice stringer of walleye !
  21. I have one I love it, but the wireless foot pedal leaves much to be desired.
  22. I was looking for your web page but I guess it is down.

  23. Yep a guy will have to get into the wild places. That is ok with me...as long as I do it in the 10 years
