  1. I don't feel too bad, about fishing deep I just wish I could get bit. I am doing something wrong for sure. I even bought minnows, and nothing. Sounds like an awesome day you both had ! I think with the water clarity sun makes them go deep, with clouds they come up into the warmer water, OK duh, so what is the best way to cover ground ? eagle1584 what kind of graph are you using ?
  2. HA HA You are right, I guess I am buying an A rig, I really need to spend some more money on fishing. I admire anyone who can catch anything this month. I guess I have been fishing to deep?? Very nice walleye, good job on the bass too !
  3. I know that they are on the cheaper end, but berkley has some great colors. Then the shadow rap with the bigger bill.
  4. I put in at Hawker point, temps were the same the deep water was cooler than the shallow. 3 otters playing at the ramp, really nice morning!
  5. I wonder if any of those guys can show me how to catch walleye in February. It probably costs more in February too HA HA
  6. I can't buy a walleye if my life deepened on it ! You did good !
  7. The black one could be a hellbender, or hot-n-tot??
  8. Thank you, now I know what to expect.
  9. Nice pic's I think that was the walleye tournament (NWT) year, yes?
  10. Thank you Gary, I hope to be looking for a February walleye in the next couple days. Only question...did you have to cover a lot of ground to find them, or were they right where you thought they would be? I am glad that you are posting your efforts here.
  11. Thank you
  12. Good read, thanks for the info. Any ideas on why they were there?
  13. Great looking walleye !
  14. Sorry I need to add awesome ! Thanks for the report.
  15. It was over 50 at CC. Got no love.
  16. Maybe this will help
  17. I remember those days, they grow fast, she will always remember, fishing. Mine still does even at 28 yrs old. Walleye that's good !
  18. Hey man , a guy's got to do whatever it takes, right? I have to admit short days and slow cold water fishing does not leave much room to make a mistake in location. Launch your boat in the wrong spot and pretty soon a guy is out of daylight. I will be night fishing under these bright sky's. I think that should work??
  19. Do you know what I am going to ask?.....Teeth, see any fish with teeth. Oh yeah good job, I got skunked saturday. I guess I am going to have to take some bass fishing lessons so I can keep the depression to a minimum.
  20. Don't know jack about stipers, but walleye are tough for me on Stockton, I feel your pain you're not alone.
  21. It's the double uni for me, I have had some fail, but it was my fault. I think I was over pulling when I lock the two knots together, I lock them together now with less pressure, now my trouble is over.
  22. Not to beat a dead horse, but that np2 is paintable too. I used to have a welding service, my canoe was flipped over behind my scrap bin (not a good idea). I asked one of my son's to unload the scrap from my truck. He thought it a good idea to throw the scrap metal into the bin, from like 10 yards. Needless to say a short piece of 7/8 bar stock found it's way to the side of my 20 year old canoe. It did not punch a 7/8 hole, but it did make a large 1/2 moon gash in the side. A nice dab of this goop and it was fixed, until the tornado wrapped it around a tree a few years later, If I had leaky rivets I would get a tube of this stuff, flip the boat over now and cover every rivet, I would do the leading edge weld on the bow, I have rewelded several of them, they seem prone to wear and leaks. Sorry to obsess over your leaky boat but this stuff just works so well. It seems to last forever.
  23. I know you are right, I was hoping for a river walleye for February. I wonder if they will try anyway. Boy if we do get a good rain you know that they will be in a hurry.
  24. Man you put the smack down on them ! See any toothy fish?
  25. Good to know, I think Stockton much the same, shallow. Nice pic's
