  1. Holy Smokes ! That's a great fish, wall hanger and rare ! I am still waiting for mine.
  2. Very cool ! Let's say you think you have a record fish, what do you do next? Where do you go, and who do you call, so that your catch isn't DOA? What if it is a weekend etc?
  3. Ok got it, I will try it on my next one. When I was learning the walleye there wasn't much info in my area, that is why I started making video, I guess this is the next step. Talk about outside your comfort zone. Thank you for the help.
  4. I'm shy, but working on it. I really don't know what to say. I guess a play by play kind'a thing??
  5. Thanks, you have a good eye, eagle claw rotating lazer, they are cheap and sharp and sold at walmart. If you get them hung in a rock they are springy enough to let go. They work great on a c rig to, jig and drag.
  6. wake maker and lake lice = ski boats and jet skis?? Translate
  7. I use 50# braid for those poles because I have to hause those bouncers out of the brush sometimes, and 12# flouro on the leader. The spinner is a modified Berkely pink perch. Thank you for the complement.
  8. This was a great way to spend a Sunday after church. The boat traffic wasn't bad and there was a little chop on the water, a perfect walleye day.
  9. All this talk about spoons...I have already placed an order with Binks (they are running a deal too) , I bought some 1/4 oz crappie spoons to try, and a couple "many shad", of course. If you see a boat pulling a dingy behind it, it's me, I had to have some place to put the tackle. I need to go on a tackle fast.
  10. Mr Baker is good people, and has great customer service. Some friends and I have been talking about going to Beaver this summer, I will be trying out some of those Binks spoons !
  11. Thank you
  12. Some beauties!
  13. Thanks, don't know if I will make it this weekend, work. It's good to have a job. I just need to get my work done sooner
  14. I was kind'a think the other way around !
  15. Heck of a night
  16. Nice job, I am working, it sucks ! I wonder how I can get a job fishing or hunting or both??
  17. Hey buddy, that is a dandy ! congratulations !!! Don't forget the cheek meat it's good !
  18. Uh, Ok yuck ! Is there any lake fish in my area that you are missing from your life list? Other than the logperch I don't think I ever do that again.
  19. Look up kevin baker of binks spoons, he has a pretty good video on spoon fishing. I have some of his spoons they are great I will buy more, just in something shiny.
  20. That spoon is deadly on table rock. Bass pro 1/2 oz jiggy twitch it hd. It might be my favorite way to fish. When you are graphing large schools of bait fish and you see those big marks going though them, or you graph what looks like suspended spaghetti, or you see fish busting the water like the spots are doing on T Rock that seem to be the time for a spoon. When I cast it or jig it I try to follow it down with my rod giving it the least amount of slack to fall freely. They pick it up on the drop so you don't want to much slack or you might miss one. I think I can cast a 1/2 oz spoon what seems like 75 yards. It is really fun when it works. I have picked up bass and walleye in 30 FOW doing this. Hope that helps P.S. You can always tell if it is a drum, they must be able to feel the vibration from the spoon really well. I have seen them multiple times drive 20' or more to get a spoon. It is really cool to watch on the sonar !
  21. Will do.
  22. Not a very becoming picture, and with my most hated fish too. Pretty cool handle you have there.
  23. I like the braid that has a coating on it. Also make sure you are not using the old plastic(or what ever they were) lined guides. There is always a trade off. I only use 10lb braid I when down from 15 but it is coated with something slick it help protect it. So far so good
  24. It was great to meet you too John. You have the distinction of being the first OAF member that I have met in the flesh. Thank you for your help identifying the Logperch. I can't wait to get together for a walleye trip, and turn some fish into food !
