    livewell

Had 3 in the box today, kept the livewell on auto, all were a live and kicking when I got home. The drive is over an hour. I didn't do anything special.
  2. Big O piggy, good job !
  3. I have only found one chanterelle in my life. On a rock bluff over looking Shoal creek it was black. Thank you all for the help. Walleye and mushrooms yum !
  4. Very nice !
  5. Thanks, know any others to hunt, I know about chickens and hens, but not much else. There is wood ear fungus everywhere here.
  6. Looks familiar, nice fish.
  7. You should be in my boat on tournament day, when I am hanging out in the middle of the the lake trying to get that one mommy walleye to bite, and suddenly a tournament fisherman comes blasting by a bout 20 feet away going 70 mph like I am in his way. I don't what I am telling you guys for, I know it wasn't an OAF member. I feel your pain
  8. I don't know man ! Think about the vastness of the ocean, any edge a guy could get while fishing from the shore would be good. To bad that thing won't tell you where the walleye are.
  9. Nice fishs, really nice crappie !
  10. I have just had time to hunt one spot, I did not find any today, but I did jump a hen turkey sitting on 5 eggs. I was 4 feet from her before she jumped. I would like to add this walk took place after church, God first.
  11. Can you eat the wood ear fungus ?? It is everywhere in my mushroom spot, it doesn't look appetizing.
  12. Great photos ! When it's hot those things are super fast too ! When I was a boy we lived near Fort Worth TX I used to catch a similar creature but of a different color, and horny toads by the dozen, which are really a lizard, and I guess are about extinct now. Now I am really off topic...Oh well. Really neat pictures and accounts from everyone, good reading.
  13. I am guessing they like lots of big rocks. They are pretty good size too at least a foot long from head to tail
  14. I have only seen one in my life. I was backpacking on Tom Sauk mountain, it was up near the old reservoir 25 years ago. I think they are rare it's good to see one again. Thanks for the post !
  15. Got out to look for mushrooms around Stockton and found these, I'm not sure if it is an original. I also found a mountain of bobbers.

    livewell

I do I think it has more to do with water temperature. They don't do that in the winter, but I don't know for sure. Ice'm and eat'm.
  17. I like to eat, but I will let some go....sometimes
  18. I would have been doing some fast back trolling.
  19. Salt water ?
  20. That is pretty bad when you are catching more walleye than you can eat. I guess you just throw them back for tomorrow. No really I think it's great that way there will be some for me. Conservation and all that stuff.
  21. Next to walleye that is my favorite fish, that is a nice one !
  22. Some of us should get together for a OAF cook out, and fishing day.
