  1. I didn't mean to post 2 videos, just the April one sorry.
  2. I don't know about garmin but on my lowrance It matters if the the target is moving or not, a moving fish will appear as a line relative to it's size, or rather density. I have caught these deep walleye before, I would guess they are going after bait that didn't make it through the cold, or sometimes it seems like the work under other feeding fish, picking up the stunned and wounded. I can always tell a drum by the way the vector toward the lure, those suckers can flat out feel the vibration of a falling spoon !
  3. No no chirp. Thanks
  4. I have a lowrance hds 8 non touch no lss, I am running it using the motor guide universal transducer in the trolling motor, 2d sonar only. I also have a lowrance hdi 7 elite, running the sonar/downscan factory traducer. My question (I don't have comparative pictures yet) the 2d sonar on my elite is way less pixelated than the hds. Are these hds units just like this or is the lack of the structure affecting the clarity? I have jacked around with the setting, it is usable, I guess I expect it to be at least as good as the elite? Also the view n the hds seems zoomed in more than the elite. Next time I am out I will get a video made. Thanks
  5. I follow this guy on youtube, amazing stuff, good explanation too, and yes expensive. Someone needs to sell me their junky hds 12 for cheap and buy this.
  6. So for about a year, I have been needing to replace the carpet in my boat, I guess I am lazy or busy. Looking at it yesterday, I will have to disassemble pretty much the whole boat to do it right, if I use a paint product, like "tuff coat" it will be $500 ish to do it myself. I have a 2003 Tracker deep v dual console. Would replaces boat carpet and what ind of money is a guy looking at to have it done? Thanks
  7. Oh, just in case someone was wondering what the blue snow was on the screen, it is interference from the unit in the front.
  8. Whatever ! Haha. Thanks John.
  9. If it wasn't for a brush pile full of baby bass, and this hungry baby walleye. I pretty much suck. Here is a neat picture of the walleye returning to his home in near 60ft of water. He was maybe 10" long, as you can tell there are more. It is cool to know what they look like on the sonar.
  10. Dude your good ! I about got skunked.
  11. I know that we don't want to start thinking about how much money we through in the lake, but how many $ is that !!
  12. Wow weird !
  13. Found the pic' we were fishing a benefit tournament, I put this dude on their scale and asked if they was any prizes for the largest bluegill.
  14. wow !
  15. I figured they were bluegill, I would not mind catching some big fat ones ! I caught one while fishing for walleye that was almost a pound 1!
  16. I can't help myself...I will quit after this one
  17. That last one was for the spoon fisher folks hahaha !
  18. There rv people make pretty good switch panels too. There is and rv salvage near Joplin regional sale barn. There is probably one near you too.
  19. I bought one of these a couple years ago, the more I use it the more I like it. Only gripe is the handle is a little long. 8'2" classic black $55. I recon this is too heavy. http://fishoutlaw.com/shop/
  20. Nope, i always have my eye out for a depth finder up grade, I guess I'm just to tight. I will wait and buy someones junk that is 4 times better than mine.
  21. Grabbing the line, yes. It happens to me too sometimes, on the up stroke pause at the top for just a moment, or what I do is to take the swivel off then use a clip right to the spoon, that helps. I have a friend who takes the swivel off, and reuses the swivel to tie a heavy leader to the main line, then tie the leader right to the spoon. I have tried it but I change colors too much for that.
  22. Yep who knows??
  23. I think they are everywhere following bait fish, and yes I have caught a couple walleye there.😁
