  1. You're surprised a government funded project is relatively expensive? Come on!😆
  2. Btw. It briefly had the CFS on Wednesday. Then it was removed.
  3. I contacted Gary Johnson hydrologist/engineer for the USGS about the gauges and he said: Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, the US Army Corps of Engineers has historically funded these (and other) gages, but they had a budget cut which necessitates the action. We were hopeful another agency might step forward to pay for them before the Sept 30 cutoff, but no luck so far. The cost is $16,300 per year to operate and maintain each gage. We are actively meeting with several agencies in hopes of reinstatement. Thanks, Gary --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gary P. 4. That's gotta be some kind of record! 😆 Do you have EZ Lube hubs?
  5. I added my trailer to my AAA roadside plan and it wasn’t very much additional.
  6. If I’m launching anywhere with current I drive my boat off the trailer. Otherwise it’s the rope to the trailer dip and go. The less they are submerged the better.
  7. If you have EZ lube axles the solid dust caps perform way better than the ones with the rubber cap. 4 for 10 bucks on Amazon. Moore trailer has the seating tool for like $10 too. https://a.co/d/5mIl1hw
  8. Nothing here in St Charlie County.
  9. We need rain but not a deluge that causes problems.
  10. I have the EZ lubes. The problem with tandem axle for me is the ability to move the trailer around in the garage. I’ve seen the trailer dolly’s but my little Jon boat only weighs like 1500 - 1600 pounds. Wouldn’t mind oil bath hubs though. I think those are much better???
  11. That’s one thing that keeps me from taking my boat on longer trips. Like up north smallie fishing. If I’m driving back and forth from the lake (4hours each way) I check them for heat at every stop. Then I jack it up and inspect them after the trip. Usually put 2 pumps in each side if everything looks ok. I carry everything in the truck to swap out hubs including floor jack. I smoked one shortly after paying a place to repack them. It was dry as a bone. Now I do it myself. BTW new hubs are about the same price as paying someone to repack them.
  12. I think this one has a den in my backyard. We have a little tree lot that drops off into a creek back there. I don’t want to go looking and scare him off. He triggers my cameras all around the house all night. He patrols it pretty good.
  13. I can’t stand these calm, warm bluebird days. Bring on the cloudy rainy gloomy weather. Fish bite better.
  14. I hope “poof!” That one goes away too. Yes, I want the lake to myself 😆
  15. 😂
  16. They were on it about a month ago then nothing. I’ll be buzzin em this weekend though 😁. The lake is so low the lay downs I like to hit are high and dry.
  17. Thx! I'll be down again this weekend for a couple weeks.
  18. Water temp? Thx for the report!
  19. That’s a dream trip! Thx for posting!
  20. That sounds awesome! I’ve always wanted to drag my boat to TN and hit some of those tail waters.
  21. That’s a toad! Nice one 👍
  22. Is there a bunch of steel sticking up in the middle just up from shadow rock? I saw it last year when it got low. Not this low though! I saw pictures of guys fishing at the dam this week and it was unbelievable.
  23. He told me last night they’ll be ready soon.
  24. I think he’s coming out with one soon.
