Water was off every morning and I only fished Sunday due to family fun. It was hot and calm. I started in rebar and did only marginally well. Nobody was really hammering them only catching them here and there. I got there at 6:30 and had enough heat and boredom to quit when I broke my cheaters around 11:30. My brother showed up and he fished with similar results until 3 or so. I caught around 10-12 dinks and he was on a similar pace. Up at Outlet 1 a couple guys were doing a little better but the fish were real small. Typical September doldrums in my opinion. I also saw a bunch of dead fry floating through rebar and they were trout. Between the 2nd and 3rd outlet there were literally hundreds of them swimming around. And a bunch dead.

My favorite! Sam Adams Oktoberfest. I drink a couple bottles every year. But at st charles Oktoberfest they have it on draft. I enjoy more than a couple

My brother fished it Saturday on the way to Taney. He said it was about the same as last year. Smallish fish. We grew up going there and used to go many times a year. I have not been back since they put that pipe in below the main bridge. He did mention didymo in the spring hole though. Said it was thick and breaking lose and floating down stream. Midges, buggers and he caught a few on dry fly. SIO3

I was down in July and these weren't there. New buoys in Big Cedar cove. They are at the first big cove on the south side. It's a long idle to get to the marina. I bet those docks inside the line are happy. They've had big no wake signs out for years.

I'd take a crabgrass lot over any planted field. Weeds and dirt.
