I guess after 45 years of fishing I'm no longer a fisherman.....Please. Last fall I had a laptop and cell phone while camping at Quarry Park for 5 days. I closed 3 deals down there for $4,500.00's in commission. I love technology!!! Our campsite looked like a home office. Everyone had a cell phone/ Iphone and laptop. Checking generation scedules, doing business, Doc put out a few fires with patients, booked a rental boat, wife sent me personal photos that made me homesick, sent an email to a buddy in town letting him know what time the fish fry was, made a dinner reservation for saturday night. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! SIO3

I've recently been thinking about buying a new rod just for boat fishing the tailwaters. Something real fast to throw a heavy drift rig, but cheap. My buddy had a Sage XP sucked into the prop last year. Of course they repaired it but it's not the same as before. You know like a workhorse rod for a hundy. SIO3

I remember those days Wayne. I was walking on the bottom of the spillway last year and just for the fun of it I poked my rod down in the water to see how deep it was. Probably 3.5 to 4 feet deep right at the wall and not much more farhter out. I don't think the fishing has been what it once was for the last 4 or 5 years at least. I used to go down all the time now I just do a family tradition trip on the CnR opener. The last few years even that has sucked. Cricket's Apron has a nice ring to it. SIO3

I was just being sarcastic. I agree with Noluck, clearly that's not the end product. But I was the first to name it the Blue Pipe Hole and I wanted it to stick. My dad got an MDC access named and I wanted to get one too. The parks have there place and I grew up fishing them and still like them. SIO3
