  1. I hear that a lot lately. I can’t stand poaching.
  2. I don’t know but I’ve called in a couple people the past year or so. There’s a friend of a friend who brags about how many crappie he poaches. I will call him if I’m ever sure he is in possession.
  3. Crappie are probably the most poached game animal in America. Stocked trout second I think.
  4. That’s my big complaint. Haul/culling. 👎
  5. About 1 heavy inch here on top of what have. I’m not shoveling it! I’m protesting.
  6. I sent a message on the MDC website. It’s about all I can do. But if enough people do it maybe things will change. 🤷‍♂️
  7. Guys are using it on rivers in winter holes right now. One of them posting it on YouTube. Tournament fishing when hauling fish around do nothing but harm to our fisheries. They should be banned. I wrote the MDC about it during the holidays. No answer from them yet.
  8. All the guys in my condo community bought it. It’s not cheap either.
  9. I shipped a bunch of 100’ pipe pilies to a crew in Williston ND in January one year. For a RR bridge over the Missouri River. I asked the superintendent if they ever shut down due to weather. He said only when we can’t see the top of the crane.
  10. So you lost out to a dog? That's gotta sting...😂
  11. I'll never understand hillbilly's... How humiliating.😂
  12. I went out to shovel the path to the bird bath and get them some seed. Solid 15's even though I shoveled it twice yesterday. Granted it was blown in there, but still. I measured out in the yard and several places in the cul de sac and on average got 15". I shoveled the driveway 4 times yesterday and I have another 8" or so on it.....Weather app says we got 1.95" in the last 24 hours. Even our PA and Chicago offices said per google that we only got 5". WHAT!?!?
  13. I remember the “blue laws” days in Missouri. But in the early 80’s “nickel beer” nights were common. Granted it was the small plastic cups but it was still a deal.
  14. Looks like we got another 4-5”s from the wrap around tail of it last night. I’m getting too old to shovel all this snow😆
  15. That’s about what we got, maybe a little more. I shoveled 11” and I quit while it was still snowing, and there looks to be a couple more inches out there. Thundered twice about 2 hours apart. Pretty cool actually.
  16. There’s a lake near where I grew up. Similar deal. In the case of Creve Coeur, Missouri, the name comes from nearby Creve Coeur Lake. Legend has it that the name comes from a Native American princess who fell in love with a French fur trapper, but the love was not returned. The princess then jumped from a ledge overlooking Creve Coeur Lake, and the lake formed itself into a broken heart. However, the truth is that the Anglo settlers in this area never learned why earlier French settlers had employed this expression.
  17. 12:15 and we have thunder snow. I mean it’s really coming down. Headed out to try and stay ahead of it.
  18. Too late! Took me an hour to shovel the first 5”s and by the time I got done I did another 2”s starting at the top. I’ll be back out there again shortly.
  19. I haven’t seen any here. I think they purposefully avoided “fly over” country because someone would shoot them down😆. God bless the Midwest!
