  1. Depends on my mood at the time. I've put in at all of them from Valley Park to Robertsville. And the rest of the river too.
  2. Same here. 59 years old and never heard of a buffalo gnat. Last year I got mauled by them. Bites all over my face and head before I could get to the truck. I was in my pond prowler so irt took a while to get here. I got my first bite Saturday by one. On the neck next to my adams apple. I have a knot the size of a half dollar still today. I put the head net back in the boat. Some people have a bigger reaction to them than others and that's me. They look like a gnat only bigger and they have a hard shell like body.
  3. I looked up a highlander and it's similar to a 4 runner right? My buddy tows a 1752 jet boat that weighs around 2500 pounds with a 6 cylinder 4 runner. It works hard but it does tow it. I leave him sitting on those big hills on 44 south of Rolla. I have a similar boat and Ram 1500.
  4. 1/2 ton truck will pull it no problem. Don’t know about a highlander. You will need 4 wd at some point.
  5. Nope. Several 18’s though. I got out on about 3 weeks ago right before the rain started. Took off on a Tuesday.
  6. I want to the upper Mississippi for smallies
  7. Dude!!! I guess no tan lines eh?😁
  8. You said already been this spring and going next week. I was wondering where.
  9. I have a receiver and latch lock.
  10. Practice helps. When I first started and would be at a ramp alone I would spend an hour or so launching and loading a few times. Use your mirrors. I always stop just short of the water to get out and take a look to make sure everything is ok. Someone told me that once in the downslope put your truck in neutral and let the trailer pull you down. I fish rivers so current is always present. My first launch at Branson city ramp I came back and somebody had taken the bolt out of my roller. Left the roller but it’s no good without the bolt. Had a nice guy watch my boat while I drove to Lowe’s and got the correct size bolt to get it back in there. Bass pro did not have it.
  11. Where and where?
  12. All shallow rock with a little current today. Just like summer time.
  13. I’ve been doing real well the past month and half or so. I have a boat and cover a lot of water each time out. Usually every weekend. Caught these and a bunch more today.
  14. Holdin em lefty😁.
  15. I'm just glad you don't go in June, July and August!!
  16. Fixed it for you, Dave.😁
  17. I got the boat staged up for tomorrow morning. Rain missed the river so it's on!!
  18. Lefty here for that too😂
  19. My point is, whatever works somebody is all that matters.. Sorry you took it the wrong way.
  20. I love homemade Caesar! The old Tornatores by the airport used to make it table side. Grill that romaine a little and taste the magic of that!
  21. Been left handing reeling since I was 4-5.😁 Maybe before that.
  22. Those things killed me last year. Couldn’t go to my favorite urban pond because there was millions of them. Even with a head net they would borrow under it and bite like crazy.
