    Allenton is the new raft drop. Lots of rafts!!! Doesn’t bother me unless you need to use the ramp to take out when it’s hot and it’s loaded with em! They aren’t in a hurry.

    What about Marais Temps Clair Conservation Area in Charleytown? If you are going to burn gas I would make some calls to private clubs in Charleytown between now and then. I've heard of membership deals for around a $1,000.00. They are no frills clubs that are essentially giving you access. No club house, bars or pools. But they are definitely closer than the ones you mentioned. Just a thought.

    It’s a popular hard seltzer drink kids are into. One boat ramp. 20 kids putting on sunscreen and deciding who is riding with whom while 4 trailers wait to put in or takeout. I finally said, “you pilgrims gonna launch them rafts or whistle Dixie?”😆 it was hot yesterday and I was ready to go.

    I’m pretty sure I damaged it on vacation. I had to move them from the boat to truck every night and I had all kinds of stuff in the bed of the truck.

    It's 2-3 years old at least. Are the red BPS one's the same as the browning? Only bummer is the red one is now 59 bones. I think I paid $39 for the Browning.

    Drove home yesterday and no problems so that was great. Since it's still the weekend! Went out this morning and was catching small smallies and spots when I set the hook on this spot and my airstream snapped in two. Must've dinged it on the drive back. Nothing over 12 inches but there were a lot of them so it was fun. Tube did all the damage. It wouldn't even get to the bottom most times. @Phil Lilley or @duckydoty what rods are you using to throw jigs these days?

    We had bone in ribeye and a 14 ounce lobster tail last night from Harter House in Hollister. Home grown tomatoes, baby white corn on the cob and cheese garlic bread. Vacation in the the Ozark's rocks!

    I used to fish it a lot more 10 years ago. It was always hit or miss. Never really did pattern anything solid. Had several trips when fish were on beds and in the clear water it was game on. With the dam broken at powersite it really jacked the lower lake up.

    Dozens of sparrows nest in the trees near the deck down there. At times I would have 3-4 sparrows on the table eating bread crumbs from the hill. The closest one would get to eating out of my hand was about 4"s. A small male and female. I'm sure if i had a few more days I would have gotten one to take it. If I didn't put any out they would sit on the chair backs and rails and squawk like crazy like they were yelling at me. Pretty cool actually.

    I had a guy yell at my for trolling across to the other bank down by Cooper. Him, his wife and two small kids in kayaks. At first he says “hey lookout, we’re right here”. I said yeah I saw you and even waved. He then starts yelling at me to watch out. I’m standing on the front using the trolling motor. How does that bother him??? I just kept fishing. When running I give them as much as room as possible. I don’t want anything serious to happen to anyone out there.
