I’ve heard of some people hammering and keeping trout out of the area. The videos show up on Facebook and when they called out they take them down. Shame really. Back in the day it was kind of a lesser known area. Internet killed it like a lot of areas. That’s just my opinion. But the crowds certainly got larger.

I grew up trout fishing and have caught 1000’s I guess by now. Once I really got to smallie fishing I prefer them over trout. Growing up we floated and fished some creeks but now it’s about all I do. I’ll go back to trout for winter a little more though.

Old retired MFers are the worst. The guy behind me said the lawn service doesn’t cut the grass in the common area “right”. So he does it himself. And if he raises his again in the meeting, to repeat what they just said I’m gonna beat him about the head with a sock full of quarters 😂

I have a bumper crop. Except walnuts. I don’t have a walnut tree. My persimmon trees are loaded. Acorns and hickory nuts everywhere. A tree by my daughters house is loaded with walnuts though. HOA demands they produce😂

You have all winter for that. I wish you would’ve gotten bit better. Leaves cancelled my trips this week. Rafts of them.

Garage. I have a 3.5 car garage. My old truck sits in the driveway. 2013 ram 1500.

The visitors center at the dam has a bunch. Plus the short video on the dam. Pretty cool actually. Johnny Morris has dozens if not hundreds scattered around all his properties. It’s the best part of visiting them.

I got out early today. Well before daylight. WT 62 and cloudy. Should be good weather for catching. I got to the boat ramp and looked around. I didn’t bring a boat so as not to disturb all the people who weren’t there. I waded stark naked so I wouldn’t spread any invasives to this pristine waterway. Wasn’t bad until I got about knee deep and that cold water got to my twig and berries. I couldn’t decide if I should try top water or cranks. No worry. I didn’t bring a rod or tackle so as not to harm any fish. Pretty successful day. Didn’t catch a thing. Disturbed none of the people who weren’t there or the fish. I’ll probably get get out again later this week.

I watch a couple car guys on YouTube and they were talking about something similar with car dealers. Basically, when your business plan is based on a 3% interest rate environment then it jumps to 8% in a year a half, the plan and business falls apart unless they are financially able to get to the other side so to speak. Which means possibly losing money on the units they acquired when rates were 3%. Or at least not making the profit they planned to.

Spent an hour on top water and only had one drag it under a little. Switched to the crank and threw it for 3 hours. I had a real nice one on for quite a while and it just pulled out. I’ve gone totally barbless so it’s expected. I don’t think it barbless makes a difference on jerks but I think it might on cranks. But it’s easier on the fish and possibly me. Going at lunch again tomorrow.

In this interest rate environment? NO!😆

Doubtful, Buttercup. When I climbed to the Devils Doorway last month I didn’t stop at the Grotto Pools and “say” I made it all the way to the Doorway, I actually WENT to to it😂 And took pictures of it. You know the real Doorway😂. Not the kiddy doorway halfway up😂

Like that “windy” trail in your recent post where you only made it halfway to the lake? 😂. Not even new REI hiking sticks could get you there. Nice picture of the wrong lake though😆
