Friend of mine raises deer he is ultra concerned with disease. Beyond the obvious financial motivation (read usda order herd destruction) there is the genuine interest animal husbandry. If you’ve spent years cultivating a trait, any disease is catastrophic to the investment. I, nor anyone, can prove the source of CWD. Anyone recall the manditory inceneration of chickens and turkeys from farms in Iowa? For those farms, insurance was an option. Not available for a deer farm. We lost every deer worth mentioning on a hunting property in bates county to blue tongue. Ebb an flow of nature.

U filling your livewell to fish at home is only one way to protect a resource. I have insulated oxygenating livewells. Temp and pressure are two different things, just physics, not my rule. It’s incredibly common for tournament competitors to arrive at take off from their hotel that is lacking spigots for livewell filling in advance. I’m guessing fizzing is faster but it’s only a guess. one can be confident the chemical make up of livewell water pumped from the lake is the same as the fish were in. Its a rare day I catch a fish deep enough to worry.

I’ll have to check that out. If I had to place a bet in advance, I’d bet on a stinking white bass being the fish that one day sticks me.

I’ve been changing some hardware on baits. I might do a trial to see cut force. I’m guessing the owner stingers and mustad 2x in a #2 size will take some squeezing. Pretty sure those hooks are harder than cheap side cutters.

Watch out for oncoming traffic headed where you are leaving in the morning. Stay wide on inside bends. The mid lake is one heck of a fishery. Figure out what rock/depth then worry about docks and brush.
