  1. From what research i have done so far it sounds like it is due to harmful algae in the lake.
  2. Yes we sure do but I am not sure what is wrong I have never seen this lake like that before. Im sure MDC has an explanation I probably better give them a ring.
  3. Went out today to do a little bass fishing saw probably 20 or so flathead and channel catfish anywhere from 5-20 lb range dead. Several bass 2-4 lb range floating dead and quite a few crappie. Found a walleye looked to be a keeper same thing all in the south arm of the lake. Kept fishing and noticed a bass swimming next to the boat right on the surface and was covered in some kind of brownish green stuff all over it and was soon to be belly up as well. Dont know what caused it or what it is but i doubt i keep fish out of there until its figured out.
  4. Set the boat in 15 ft caught fish everywhere from 4 ft to 13 ft deep on a silver jig tipped with a minnow.
  5. Water was stained but not too bad just a bunch of debris being washed out.
  6. No problem hope it helps water temps were 51 by aldrich and 53 at taylor.
  7. Ran from aldrich to Taylor motor broke down at Taylor so decided to float back down and fish. All fish were caught on purple swimming minnow.
  8. Yeah we went down by the creek then over to the iron bridge.
  9. We were on bank I walked all the way down the field and fished there.
  10. If you have 4wd truck you might be able to pull it off. I would not suggest it but like you said I have put in boats in the past and seen many people do it. I would suggest putting in at aldrich and heading up just to be on the safe side.
  11. Caught a few females at Taylor and several small males pretty slow but all bites were on a chart/silver flake swimming minnow on 1/8 oz heads.
  12. Water Temp:44-46 up by the dam area. Found fish in 14'-32' of water. All bites came on green pumpkin jig with a green pumpking craw or biffle bug. Had one solid 2lber. The rest were just 13-14" fish. Bite was very slow. Shad were in balls by the thousands just couldnt get bit fishing them. Was pretty windy today. Good luck hope this helps.
