  1. My neighbor sold one of his docks last year using Craigslist. Sold pretty fast for asking price.
  2. How cool is that! You're post is uplifting. As Paul Harvey would say... "and now, you know the rest of the story"
  3. This may be a popular observation, but I thought the majority of the fisherman at Friday's weigh in were very complimentary of the lake. Almost all stated the obvious... they needed to find the kicker and most could not. Talked talked about the beauty of the lake, the large number of fish they caught and the many bass species available to catch.
  4. As a novice trying to figure out how to fish Table Rock, I like reviewing the videos. Being able to visually see a specific bait that has been mentioned on the forum is very helpful. A lot of time when I read these detailed posts I have to google the bait mentioned so I know specifically what you are talking about. IMHO, the videos are beneficial for me. Thanks for everything you guys do. I know you all have other things to do.
  5. 8.8 lb Big Bass was nothing to sneeze at.... Mike Webb I believe came in 12th
  6. By 6:30 this morning... there were 3 boats fishing in the cove. There is a tournament out of Ahoys at 8:00am. It will be interesting to se how many boats are in the tournament
  7. Looks like a break in the weather and some folks are finding ways to get out.
  8. The additional wet snow yesterday on top of the compacted ice and snow underneath has created VERY slippery conditions. Be careful!
  9. Champ, I just moved to the area a few years ago, but the topic of bed fishing is interesting. Is it legal for organized tournamnent fishermen to fish the beds? If so, aren't you potentially killing off the species? I am not a fisherman, but this has been my suspicion?
  10. Here are some photos. Basically you wrap one end of the chain around the lift crossmember. I use a back corner. Next, attach the other end to the dock itself. Use the two of the adjustable chain links shown to make the chain shorter or longer to get the limit depth you want. If you have more questions let me know.
  11. Bill, If you give me a week or so, I will post a picture of how the chain limit works.
  12. Anyone know what the plan is for the lake level? It's pretty low at 907.5
  13. A chain can be added to an econo-lift to limit the depth it falls. It's an easy install.
  14. No, Fred has a marine repair center on the west side of Hwy 13 real close to the Ace Hardware. He does lake calls and if necessary picks up the boat and takes it in. I have had good experiences with Ulrich Marine.
  15. Thanks Sam!
  16. I got a HDS-7 for Christmas and am looking for a sale on the structure scan accessory. Was just thinking how nice it would be if folks posted the GPS coordinates for some of the neat stuff underwater on Table Rock. I am excited about exploring...
  17. Skeeter... where is the Irag oil going? George W didn't get a return on his dollar.
  18. Bill, please post the lowest temperature when you get it. It would be interesting to see. As far as businesses for sale... this economy has not been nice to local small busineses. Drive Hwy 13 from the bridge to Branson West and look at all the empty commercial real estate. We need a boom in the economy! But, I am not holding my breath.
  19. So far, just a little.... Keep it up north! You need to sell and move down.
  20. I agree!! It looked wicked out there yesterday with those winds and white caps. Good Job!
  21. Homes and dock were hit on DD. Not sure if this link will work? http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=1236710346&aid=106635
  22. Billfo... it took us 18 months to sell our Omaha home. It seemed like forever before we could start building the lake house. But, it has all been worth it. We love it on the lake!
  23. Sounds like you can do it yourself pretty easily. If the bunks are at the correct distance apart all you have to do is attach a chain to the dock and the other end to one of the rear lift corners and adjust it so the boat just barely floats off in the down position. This stops the lift from going under 3 feet. Then your are set.... when you drive on it will center itself.
  24. What a neat guy. I saw Brian last weekend at the landing. He gave a very informative presentation at the outdoor show about fishing area lakes. It's GREAT to see him win!! Good Luck and continued success to Brian!
  25. That is so tragic. My prayers are with the families involved. Hope the P.A.A. tournament this week on the lake is safe and everyone gets to enjoy the beauty of Table Rock's fall seasonal change.
