I saw a few bow fishing 3 weeks ago, they would shoot a fish then toss it back. from what I could see it was mostly Buffalo suckers, common carp, and a few garfish then I noticed a guy laughing and brought in a very angry beaver, they beat it in the head and tossed it back then saw them shoot what was ether a big crappie or small bass and they tossed that into a cooler. it makes me wonder how many fish they kill and waste or take illegally. if I had my phone with me I would have taken video and turned them in. as a person who bank fishes for carp I try to keep a low profile and avoid the hostilities you bow-fisher persons express on people like me or on this forum like mocarp

I can't get into being arm to arm fishing for a stocked 10 inch Bennett spring's trout....they are not the beautiful painters pallet that one catches in Montana...a lot can be said of where you are fishing for any fish, carp can be as pretty as any fish and every one I catch dwarf any trout I ever saw caught at Bennet, and I do not have to dodge getting hooked in my face fishing for them...perhaps when you see a young woman fishing in some odd looking place for trout, its just me trying to catch these wonderful fish

what lake? do you still fish there? 20 pounds is normal?

you can still buy carp in seafood stores in KC....let me ask you oneshot, whats the biggest "easy" carp you catch?

so you say we should tear out all the dams, and take out butts back our native lands? Brown trout are not native and are invasive as are rainbows east of the rocky mountains, west of the rockies largemouth bass are listed as invasive. hate on carp all you want but be an equal opportunity hater if your are, if not you lose any credibility you have....carp are wonderful sport to catch, big powerful and hard to fool..what happened? get your gear all busted up by a lowly carp?

Most water supply lakes have limits on wakes/ HP on outboards just for that reason

I saw on a Bow-fishing board I stalk that they wanted their people to harass MoCarp on this OAF forum, plenty of euro carpers are here that just don't say much. anglers can see the non-stop attempts of aggressive pressure & intimidation when the only thing mocarp is guilty of is sharing...BTW I just paid for my A.C.S. membership and ordered a hoodie..perhaps Ill model it and post a pic just for you mo...
