  1. Is that the same thing as "ferried" ?
  2. How can you accidentally marry someone?
  3. Not the point. These people get all bent and twisted because someone in a hardware did not protect strangers by wearing a mask, since a mask allows the complainer wearing one to still get infected, he should continue to wear it when at home for at least the two week quarantine time after every outing so as to protect his spouse and family. Surely saving family is more important than saving strangers?
  4. Well, if a dang Christian can use a Pagan Tree, then anyone can, " a Muslim Family" included, don't be an anti-Semite. The old dead Pagans weren't.
  5. Christmas trees are not of Christian origin, they and the whole midwinter celebration were Pagan rituals somewhere in Central Europe that the Pope borrowed to entice Pagan kids to join his Church. Used to be lots of Fairies in Boston, a shipmate pointed some out to me. No way that a drunken sailor could wrong about a thing like that, eh?
  6. Sure, distance and hygiene protects all, the mask not so much on self.
  7. so the public is protected from you but your family isn't? That seems to be about normal. I was really wondering more about the really fearful folks that get so agitated about the possibility of seeing a naked face in public, how they protect their at risk family members from themselves.
  8. Do most maskers wear one around the family at home?
  9. Didn't have many comics (lots of books tho) and I don't recall the ones I had having any ads, but that would have been 60 years ago and I've forgotten two or maybe three things over that time. I recall seeing "sea horse" ads someplace, the picture looked kinda like a chess knight... Is that the one? Wait You got paid for mowing a lawn? No sheep? or geese? $5.00... I've chased wild cows all day on horseback for three bucks in silver and thought I was rich. I don't recall anyone actually having a lawn outside the city limits, nor did we even own a lawn mower in those days. I think I was probably 26 or 27 when I learned about lawn mowing at my inlaw's after they moved to the suburb.
  10. Never even heard of them til now. I had a pet squirrel, an ant farm and two coyotes for pets.
  11. Nobody that understands politics is going to be hurt by discussion of them, period. Only those with "yaller dog" party loyalties and no objectivity can become angry over talk of politics in person on a forum.
  12. Shouldn't encounter many large crowds while in hospital.
  13. 'how much you want?' - "make an offer" - 'one dollar' - "oh no, this is worth $5000" - 'well, why didn't you say that in the beginning?'
  14. Some forums are well policed for sure and often too. But they are like living in a town where the Mayor has forbidden all politics except his own and the only church in town is the one that supports him as dictator. Politics and religion are the foundations of our society, without them you either have chaos or totalitarianism. Surely everyone wants to be told what to think and how to react and be made to comply?
  15. If the herd has faith in the propaganda they will be immune, it's mental.
  16. They said a few months ago that you could get it, be sick, and not become imune. The idea of new strains is interesting though, or simple mutation of the current one to render any vaccine impotent.
  17. nope he posted that a guy in the Ozarks might get a dozen ticks in a year -I think that is a more marketable comment
  18. N-95 is the thing! those fashion masks just mask the problem! wait I got a hanky I'm OK If you don't wear the things at home, and maintain social distance in the house you are endangering your loved ones.

    ketchup in ketchup then
  20. Do you live in the Ozarks? a dozen is like a ten minute dose in the woods or a half day in the yard after three kinds of insecticides.
  21. I'm not anti mask, just in favor of truth in advertising. Here's the thing about possibly infecting your spouse, as in the op, if you wear a mask every where you go you reduce the possibility that you will infect the clerk at the lumberyard, but you have not significantly reduced your ability to become infected, yet you go home and refuse to wear a mask in the house and bang you've done got a benign case of cov19 and given it to your spouse and yep she dies. Well she can't blame you can she? you wore that mask and didn't infect the public.

So, you pour the sauce on your self and lick it off?
  23. I really don't see how they could, the culprit bacteria are already present and resident, the masks would have zero effect on that. (Unless of course the mask is worn during tooth brush time)
  24. yes and use of direct deposit and cards illustrate it A single click can reduce all digital wealth to nothing. Keynes works contained warnings that have been interpreted as goals. Yes they help some in the big picture, but it is always the mask wearer protecting the other people not the mask wearer protecting him/herself. The question becomes one of "whats in it for me?" if the masks don't protect the wearer. The mask @Mitch fposted does provide some (95%) wearer protection and should be all that are allowed if masks are mandated, because these also provide full protection for the other people.
  25. These later pictures indicate something portable in size, I would have expected a "monolith" to be much larger, tree top tall and big gal heavy.
