  1. Also going Friday afternoon. I will post anything worth posting. Which would be extremely rare. But always trying to improve. Good luck. 👍🏻
  2. Just to expand on this. What colored jigs and what kind of trailers are your favorite?
  3. Glad you had a good day. Thanks for the info. I definitely need the schooling...
  4. In those little coves. it was actually pretty clear. But the main channel was pretty colored. I never threw a spinner bait today. Might have done the trick. But tried some other things. No Joy. Good luck.
  5. Went today. Fished mostly the Ruark West area up Sons creek . Seen temperatures from 42 up to 46. Depending on where I was and the time of day. It was like fishing in chunky milk chocolate. I'm not the best at it. Still learning tons. But pretty much got the big zilch today. But it was better than working. And it was a beautiful day.
  6. Yes Harps. In high school. 67 goat rag top. Metal flake blue with white top. 389, 4 speed. My brother had one Identical to the that pic of yours. Just just brought back some fun memories.
  7. Thanks Dutch. I was trying decide between Greenfield and Ruark for Tuesday. Looks like Ruark.
  8. Wrench. Am I understanding you right? If you rip your lower unit off, that might be covered by your insurance?
  9. Doesn't help you now. But If the forecast holds? I plan on being there Tuesday. If you do end up checking it out. Please post what you see. Thanks.
  10. I don't know if there is a wrong forum on here. But there is an actual Table Rock forum... Might post there as well...
  11. Thanks mick. I always stop at that first big turn to the east after the T where Sac and turn back meet. Running a 19 foot aluminum Tracker. I think I'll use your advise and slowly venture a little farther.
  12. I was told that if you were to leave your transducer on, out of the water. Like if you pull you trolling motor up and forget to shut your unit off. It could possibly damage your transducer or your unit. This might have already been asked, but I haven't found it. Nothing in my manuals say anything about that. For anyone that knows. Is there a potential for damage when leaving your sonar unit transmitting out of the water? TIA Mike
  13. Maybe just over a year ago I have returned to the world of fishing after a few decades of being over worked and under rested. And I am loving the crap out of it. Learning so much buy the good guys on this site, and the internet. I just recently picked on the method of the long pole. I have decided I want to pursue that. I was really taken in by that. So I have ordered a 11 foot pole and am going to learn how to do it. I mainly like to fish for Bass, Walleye, and Crappie. Not necessarily in that order. But I do enjoy eating Crappie and Walleye. So I am going to give the long pole a shot.
  14. Quill, school me. Trying to get a handle on this by sight. The first pic is a large mouth, second pic is a spot?
  15. Now I'm just paranoid!!! lol
  16. I am mounting a garmin echomap plus 73sv chartplotter/fishfinder combo on my boat. Like some anglers on here, I didn't take the time to learn what I was really seeing on my old hummingbird. But between this forum and and the internet, I am learning a ton, and realize what a tool this will be. Can't thank people enough for there knowledge and input. When I get out there, and get a handle on this thing, I'll post some screen shots. Like my wife said. "Now I cannot catch more and better quality fish" She's so wise. lol Can't wait to get out there. Thanks again.
  17. Nice catch. Hopefully will be out there soon myself.
  18. I totally missed that. My brain was seeing a center beam and ribs. It's a good thing I was handsome. My brain wasn't going to get me very far. lol
  19. I'm think maybe canoe?
  20. Thanks for replying guys. There has been some good advice. Zaraspook, Thank you, I will give that a shot. Fishinwrench. I just have a flush console ignition switch. But I will use your advice. One wire on the alarm is purple. The other is brown. It seemed to line up with the brown and white at the connector. Which made me think that was it. But none the less I will keep pushing forward. I really appreciate the replies. Thanks again...
  21. Hello everyone. I could use a little help with a problem I am having, and I am at wits end. So if that one person out there that knows, would reply. I will appreciate you for life. Of course at my age, it probably won't be that long. I have 2012 Tracker Pro Team 190 with a two stroke Optimax motor. Here is my current issue. I want to install a trim gauge. It already has the sender and is ready to go. Now everything says look for a brown and white wire. And that is correct from the sender. and it goes all through the wiring harness as a brown and white wire. But when it reaches the transition connector that leaves the motor and goes to the console. That is where it either changes to a different color or stops all together. The wire I thought it changed to, is a brown wire. But it goes to the ignition alarm under the console. So any input would be helpful. I have been researching for a while now and have come up blank. Of course for BP would be happy to help for the right price. God forbid they would help for the sake of helping. ( I think I will have cheese with my whine. lol) Thanks for taking the time to read this. Mike

    Walleye

So just between you and I. Besides using a rod and reel, of course, I am assuming you will, what would be your approach to catching Walleye this early in the year.
