  1. Just curious, but what was the water temperature where you ended up catching them? Thanks!
  2. I'm not a bass fisherman, but thanks for posting as these sites have been a ghost town this year. My boat is in for repairs, but hopefully I will be able to go fishing soon.
  3. I'm not fishing for bass, but seem to be catching several smallmouth recently. Probably not that helpful, but all that I know directly. I heard that the bass tournaments have been tough lately and relatively small bags winning.
  4. Congrats on a awesome new boat and the finish at NWT. Ron
  5. Congrats on personal best and letting her go. Agree on all above. Hopefully I get a chance to go soon as well.
  6. I haven't gotten to go to Stockton in a couple of weeks and last time just caught 2 keepers. I am looking forward to going again in the next week or two. Wintertime jig fishing is something I have a lot more work to do before I get good at I am afraid.
  7. I haven't been fishing nearly as much this summer and it has been very tough for me over the past 3 weeks or so. I can't figure out the pattern. It was good before that though.
  8. Thanks for the update! Two weeks ago I was able to catch a couple of limits on cranks, but haven't been able to go since then. Hopefully that changes this week. I know you are very busy and booked for the foreseeable future, but didn't know if you do any guided trips on Truman? I learned a lot on my last trip and I would like to learn how to fish muddy water. Thanks! Ron
  9. I haven't been yet, but planning on changing that next week. Likely will be in white bass and crappie. I am not a snagger, but paddlefish apparently require different gear. No idea on hybrids this time of year.
  10. Haven't been to the lake yet, but hopefully get to go next week.
  11. Looks like an awesome time of fun and fellowship
  12. Thanks for the input and pm sent!
  13. After getting beat up by the waves on Stockton this week when I finally got to go fishing for a couple of days, I am in the market for a boat that will take the waves a lot better than my Tracker 175, which has otherwise been great for me. I am looking for a new/newer 4 stroke aluminum V bottom boat and would greatly appreciate some input from those of you with similar boats or if you know of one for sell. I am also thinking a Smooth Moves Ultra Suspension Seat base would be a good idea, but apparently can't put it in my Tracker 175. Other boat recommendations are welcome. Thanks for any input!
  14. I don't see any data on Stockton Lake nor Pomme de Terre since 2020. Did I miss it or did they stop collecting data at these 2 lakes? Thanks!
  15. It was clear by the dam yesterday, but I didn't run up to the Ruark/Mutton Creek area. Fishing was slow and I couldn't figure out a pattern, but it was great to be back on the lake.
  16. I finally got out this evening and it was slow, but beautiful. Water temps started out ~72 and dropped to 69 just before dark according to my electronics. I did catch 2 keeper crappie, but couldn't get a pattern going. Looks like I may need to learn how to night fish.
  17. Any updates on water clarity? Specifically, how far down the lake it is murky. I am hoping to make to Stockton this week for the first time since March. Thanks!
  18. Whites were dropping their eggs when caught on Saturday on Pomme. Unfortunately, not me catching them, but a very reliable source. I hope to try again by end of the week, but will probably be too late.
  19. Hopefully work and weather cooperate enough that I get to go fishing again this week. I think it has been almost 3 weeks since I have been to Stockton.
  20. Unfortunately, it has been the same for me and rough fishing, but at least the weather has been nice. It appears that last year I was more lucky than good.
  21. White bass seem to be hit or miss for me this year. Crushed them twice and with good size and lately just an occasional fish, but no drum yet.
  22. If the weather cooperates, I hope to get out again this week. Thanks for the update!
  23. Ed, congrats again! Hope you get rested up and get a chance to update us on how the fish are hitting locally. I haven't gotten to go back and chase any walleye since fishing with you, but have finally caught a few crappie on Pomme.
  24. I finally go to go chase walleye with Ed on Tuesday and the fishing and education were outstanding. Unfortunately, the bite was very tough, but Ed went above and beyond. I would highly recommend him to those of you that want to learn more about walleye fishing and to get to fish with an expert that is also a great person. Thanks again! Ron
  25. I have only gotten to go a couple of times on Pomme, but the catfish have been hitting. Lots of fun on crappie gear! Keeper crappie have been a lot tougher to find this year and no limits since the spawn and not many then either. Weird year for me!
