So finally pulled the trigger on a Garmin Force and a couple of Echomap Ultra 106 units. It was like a weight lifted from my back. Never thought that decision would be so difficult to make. Now I could sure use some help of what other parts and items I might need to do a solid install. For example I want these units to communicate with each other ie. waypoints etc, so will I need the Garmin network port expander? Are there other wires or connectors I might need? Any tips or pointers will be appreciated. ✌️

Great information Bo....THANKS. -
I want to get my boat ready to sell and need to have it cleaned and polished. Since it’s an aluminum boat I’d like to find someone who is proficient at removing stains and polishing. Clean the carpets, live wells, etc. I’d do it myself but my elbows ran out of grease about a decade ago. Any suggestions/referrals will be appreciated, THANKS

I also arrived at the gentlemanly hour of 10:00 and knew I had just a few hours so fished from Long Creek marina to the state line. Picked up a couple of shorts at the big bend on a 1/2 oz jewel green gourd football jig and a Zoom speed craw green with orange glitter. Just past the boat dock on the right at the bluff end caught this nice smallmouth. Had a total of 7 fish with 3 keeps. Fished mostly creek mouths to halfway back, bluff ends. Every fish in the jig combo. WT 63-64. Off the water just past 2. Enjoyed every second.

Beautiful, healthy fish.....THANKS for putting her back.

Sounds like you threw the tackle box at them.....I’ve got a $50,000 boat and enough tackle to open a well stocked store, and I can’t tell you how many days of fishing I’ve had with no bites. But I can tie on lures like a champ!!! As I get older I find that I enjoy the serenity and beauty of being out in nature “almost” as much as getting my line stretched. ALMOST

Headed out of the marina early today ready to battle the wind. But surprisingly the wind was very tame for the first couple of hours so I headed out towards the dam and started fishing about half way back in Clevenger cove. WT 64 with a nice stain. Started throwing a square bill with no love so started banging the bottom and whatever wood I could find with a rock crawler and “bang” had my first nice keeper smallmouth in about 8 fow. Moved up the Powerline cove and had 2 nice Largemouths about halfway way back. Both came off gravel/rock in about 8-10 fow. Fished by way to the back and had 2 more nice keeper smallies, one a touch over 18”. These two came off cedar trees. Then someone threw the switch on the wind machine and the blow was on. Had my butt kicked yesterday by the wind and wasn’t looking for a rematch so I called it a day. All 5 of the keepers today came on a wart or crawler.

Where is Sportsman’s Outfitters???? Can’t seem to find them online.

Most folks I know don’t enjoy writing about or reading about those days when nothing is caught. And there are sooooo many of them!

I have had occasional luck fishing that area from Branson Belle to Dewey Short. Focus on the point at Dewey Short. Think Smallies GOOD LUCK

There are a few nightly rentals in the Branson Creek area where I live. Mostly duplex/triplex but a few single houses. Boat parking might be an issue unless it fits in the garage. It’s a beautiful area. Not sure about rates. Hope this helps.

I have a number of rods that require various degrees of repair. Mostly tips and guides and maybe a handle or two. Looking for someone to do repairs in the Branson/Holister area.

Well said!!!

While I don’t target walleye I caught a couple of 22 inch + eyes last March/April. Was fishing swimbaits on Long Creek just past Cricket Creek Marina.

All of us here understand how the world works....$=votes. So why not solicit the aid of someone with a lot of money and connections with powerful people, AND is a native of the area AND promotes himself to be THE conservationist of our time on the same order as Teddy Roosevelt. Or is his corporation part of the problem. Your not going to stop progress, i.e. growth but it has to be growth that benefits all stakeholders, or at least as many as possible.

Fish of a lifetime WOW, Congrats Bill

My guess is, generally largemouth bass are distributed fairly equally around the lake in a macro sense. In a micro sense time of year, water temp / clarity, weather effects etc dictates where your find largemouths. I think most would agree that a person could catch a nice stringer or a trophy LM anywhere on this lake from Holiday Island to Cape Fair to Cricket Creek. IMHO

Only had a couple of hours yesterday so fished the marina docks and a couple of points within sight of the marina. Launched at 1:00 and was thankful the clouds were going to hold for a while. WT 86-87, wind SW 5-10mph, cloudy. Caught 4 shorts on flukes and 2 on swim jig pitching into the shade around the docks. Moved out to fish a couple of points and caught a couple of short smallmouths and this nice keeper. Sun popped out around 2:30 and reminded me that I don’t do HOT. Hope I have better reports in the future, but I guess 9 fish in 90 minutes in August midday is too shabby.

That would be one of my better days for sure!!! Congrats
