Here's an ugly fishing trophy for all the lovely ball players and short bus kids out there. Add to your collection! You can just buy it and not even bother fishing! Its got that so-overdone, common "surf-casting horse-jockey sanitation engineer nutcracker vintage baseball player carp wrangler fraternity" vibe. I'm starting to warm up to it.

Welcome! I'm from Iowa, originally...a couple species I was excited to catch once I moved to MO were Kentucky Spotted Bass and Longear Sunfish. I'm guessing you may not have had access to those in MN? Also Chain Pickerel! Best of luck to you, and please share your successes here!

Fished with my brother for the first time in...well over 20 years. I gave him some quick flyfishing instructions and a fly rod...and he caught his first fish of the year, and first fish on a fly rod. Great start! I caught Bluegills, Green Sunfish, Redear Sunfish, and some really nice Golden Shiners. Several shiners measured 10" or a little more.

I agree and totally understand! Being on or next to water...is a great place to be. I've found I'm a nicer person if I can fish several days/week. I'm not getting out fishing near enough. I hope you can find a way out on the river ASAP! 👍

That's a nice Golden Shiner! 👍 I flyfished 3 places yesterday. Caught @ 8 nice Bluegills at the first place. 2nd and 3rd spots, I didn't see or catch anything. -
