  1. Great job. I got out today also. Pitching jig with a paddle tail. To the brush bouncing back to boat had several largemouth and spots. 2 whites and 2 walleye. Same water Temps. 53 to 56
  2. Nice beaver.... (shameless naked gun... line) glad you got out and enjoyed the day. Fishing will pick up.
  3. Great fish. Congrats to the Mrs.
  4. But bottom bouncing with harnesses or jig and crawler. Should work also. I have also heard trolling cranks has been working.
  5. Had a trip yesterday. We caught 24. 6 of them keepers. Using jigging raps. 14 to 22 ft. Moving around till you saw them on the graph. Usually on the bottom to just above. Drop down on them rip up let fall to bottom. Rip up again till one time you lift and there he is.
  6. Had a tough week last week had trips 3 days had 33 shorts and 9 keepers. Things turned off, keepers tough to come by.
  7. Cooler weather didn't completely shut Down the walleye. Don and Tisha got them a couple limits. 8 keepers and 12 shorts. 15 to 21 ft bottom bouncing
  8. 21 or 22 inches cant remember for sure.
  9. It is easy to have fun and catch fish with guys like you to. Always welcome in my boat. Thank you very much looking forward to next time.
  10. Great Job Mike. Yes lots if shorts. It seems like if you can get into a pod of bigger fish. They will bite but finding them is the thing. But it is fun catching the shorts as well. Congrats on the 20 inch green fish as well.
  11. Walleye fishing has really heated up over the last week. Went out on Wednesday at 7 keepers and 16 shorts in 16 to 18 foot of water bottom bouncing. Wet today had a 3-man limit with 22 shorts same deal. Thank you Joe and Ed for hopping in the boat with me. And those two really put the smack down on some walleye. If you have been holding off till the walleye bite got good give me a holler it's time to go.
  12. Yes snagged one the other day and the this what I would have guessed them to be 1 1/2 inches
  13. Well since I guide on Stockton need to figure it out there. And the drive to Stockton is far enough. I do hear they have some nice one on Table Rock
  14. Well I finally got to live a dream of mine. Went to Lake Sakakawea and fished the MWC. Got our butts handed to us but it was a great experience. We got 42nd out of 43 boats. Had a 3 lb penalty for being late by 3 min to the weigh in the first day Lol. (Battery troubles) second day we weighed our 5 fish could never get on the big fish. Lost our biggest at the boat. So we definitely looked like rookies but we r ready to give it a go again next year. If I can find a partner to fish them I'm going to try to fish 3 events. My partner from this year is only planning to fish one with me. Since I have been back have had 3 trips to Stockton have caught 46 walleye in those trip with only 10 keepers. Almost all the shorts r 13 inches. 18ft bottom bouncing. Can not consistently find keepers.
  15. What are you doing? And how are your doing it?
  16. Mostly vertical. Or pitch short distances I don't cast long distance cause you can't really get the lift you need to trigger strikes.
  17. In my opinion and you know what those r like. Lol. RPS and I would give about the same advise as I have found bottom bouncing in the 10 to 15 ft deep has been the best for us. We r using northland tackle butterfly blade floaters. They do not get hung nearly as much. Target those depths with good structure near by ie. Brush or a good drop off, Dip or rock pile. Pulling .8 to 1.1 for us. Also. Jigging raps but. You will loose a lot of those if you get into the Rockies areas or brush. And they r expensive. I have not jig and crawler any or trolled cranks. If your friends would like a. Trip. I have half days available for July 1 or 2nd. Then am open from July 15th and after.
  18. Hey Bass guys. Lol. Last Monday I pulled into a spot I I had been catching a few walleye with a jigging rap. I shut the boat down dropped the trolling motor I was he cruising along trying to get to the depth of about 16 to 20 ft. When I got to about 27 to 30. The sonar lit up. So I put it in spot lock. Dropped in and immediately caught an approx 4 to 5lb largemouth. Then proceeded over the next 20 min to catch large mouth spots and whites. I had 4 or 5 large mouth over 4 lbs to 5lb not what I was after but man what a blast. The white bass where huge also. Another fella seen me catching and pulled up and asked me what is was using. He asked if he could fish that close to me and I said sure so he put on a spoon and proceeded to catch 3 or 4 fish before it was over. I just wish I had taken a pic. So Dutch that winter spoon bite might be the ticket now. Not that I know anything about bass. But thought I would pass that info along. They were all caught on a no.7 perch colored jigging rap.
  19. Had a 3 man limit today with 4 shorts. Bottom bouncing 14 to 21 ft green and gold the colors. Have a couple open dates first week of July.
  20. Sorry should have clarified. Was walleye fishing. I was bottom bouncing crawler harnesses
  21. Had one fella today. We had 10 keepers 10 shorts. Biggest was 20 inches. Caught fish anywhere from 11 ft to 23 ft. Caught a few bout everywhere.
  22. Yes north of mutton creek. But haven't caught anything on flats yet but shorts. Not saying they r not there but I haven't caught caught any keepers. Every thing still points and rocky banks.
  23. Had a pretty good day. Had 12 keepers 4 shorts largest 21 inches. 16 to 20 ft. Harnesses.
  24. I think that would be a good place to start. I went a couple days ago all keepers came in 13 to 14 ft. But hearing of a lot of people catching in 20 to 23ft but I can not get bit out that deep.
  25. That's a really nice day and to do that with your dad. Well that's just special. I'm in the group that no longer has that opportunity. Miss him terribly. Get out as much as life allows.
