  1. I know and that is where the trick can come in with generation. You never know what they will do with flows. That's the only reason I mentioned the boat option. Regardless of whether its Taney or a trout park, boat or wading, I just enjoy trout fishing wherever it is.
  2. They probably would be less crowded. I still like to fish the parks but usually go during the week. I still like Taney better mostly because of the boat option. They are really apples and oranges.
  3. Even when Taney is packed you can find some water to fish without a crowd. Last spring when I was down the upper end from Fall creek to Cooper was pretty crowded so we went in and below Roark. Some good fish down there. Cleos, kastmaster and suspending stick baits can be great down there. At a trout park its hard to find an unoccupied area to fish. Last time I was at Montauk we were shoulder to shoulder in a hole and I was the only one catching fish. White thread jig under a float was great and no one else had one. One of the guys who had been there a couple days and not done well told me about that and I gave him one.....he started catching fish right away. So I agree that Taney is better than the parks.
  4. Neat idear to do one from theyah. Keeper's a goodun.
  5. Thanks Phil. The sound seemed a little better on YouTube.
  6. Will these also be on Facebook?
  7. I was just jokin about the trout deal. I do a lot of trout fishing.
  8. Maybe the owner is an elitist fly fisherman trout guy. No disrespect to other fly fishers intended.
  9. That's for sure. Keep them coming.
  10. They are good videos but it seems like the fish are getting the better end of the cast. Very entertaining and we look forward to watching them.
  11. I have a Tracker Pro Team 185 with a 90 hp Merc. It is great in rough water and I fish three out of lots of times. Whatever you do don't under power what ever you get.
  12. Here's a link to his FB page. https://www.facebook.com/buster.loving.1 HIs number is on the About section.
  13. I have had good luck on small crank baits, road runners and beetle spins there. 19 on down should be better water than above by then. Weekdays should not be too crowded.
  14. When I got my report on Credit Karma the credit check button said it had a low impact on the score. They didn't offer me anything. We have had the same banks, insurance and credit cards for years so only had two credit inquiries in the last two years. I guess paying your bills on time is a good thing.
  15. Cajun, you're probably right on that one. I don't know his middle name either. Maybe the M stand for Money.
  16. If all of the sponsors pull out of FLW Johnny Morris will take it over and call it the BassPro FLW Tour as the sole sponsor and clean up. You can't keep that guy down even if you want to. The are the Budweiser of outdoor sports marketing.
  17. Nice video. Haven't limb lined in years but it was always fun.
  18. Over thanksgiving we were in Louisiana and brought back a bunch of the local boudin and Andouille. Made this gumbo recipe and it was outstanding. Takes about 3 1/2 hours to finish it. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/chicken-and-smoked-sausage-gumbo-with-white-rice-recipe.html Taste very much like the gumbo you get in New Orleans.
  19. I don't know how to block ads so they show up. At least on this site they are in the headings and not overlaying the copy in the post like some I have seen. Maybe it will help pay this rent on this place if we have a few of them. Other sites where they are a pain and in the threads I figured out how to block them. the like function is good to have.
  20. I hope your wish for what is done with the money comes true but most likely the creep will buy drugs. When the wife and I travel by car, with or without the boat in tow, we take turns going to the rest room whether its at a rest stop or gas station. While traveling to Louisiana recently we stopped over night on the way at a nice hotel in Mississippi and unloaded everything out of the SUV and took it in the room. Took two trips but there was nothing there to steal but the truck. The St. Louis area is notorious for car break ins all over the metro area. Even in our rural area they will break a window to get anything of value. What a shame.
  21. Great pictures. Looks like a great trip.
  22. Nice colors on those. good looking fish.
  23. Beautiful fish, nice color.
  24. I have caught some fatties on the frying pan. Have fished it quite a few times over the years.
