  3. T. Did you crank anything worth looking for? been thinking of heading that way prefishing. Only looking for green with some space between their eyes of course.
  4. rps, you are the king of TR eyes. Have a question. Next week a good friend is coming to go fishing. He has went once and has never learned how. Instead of taking him bass fishing when he cant cast well or understand what the bait is doing, was thinking of taking him wally eyed fishing. My plans were to go to Bridgeport, taking some big chubs and shinners, and drop shotting them off the bottom on a couple run off points I am fimiliar with. Think this might be a good tactic? Planning of fishing maybe 6pm till 10 or we get bored.

  6. 7.32 lb im guessing.
  7. Sounds like when my mom use to drag a crappie jig behind the boat as dad went down the bank bass fishing. She would catch some nice crappie and often catch bigger bass than my dad would.
  8. stoneroller, that was stated perfect. its a cover scent as much as an attractant.
  9. Exactly, dont know if it gives you more bites, but do believe that it makes them hold it for a second or two longer.
  10. Think the term is "strolling". Dont know if its allowed or not but if it isnt, then for sure video and send it in.

  13. Denjac. Of course I know where your speaking. Hadnt heard about it yet. I live within 1/4 mile and have had some very eye opening things happen in the last two years, including hand prints on my daughters window. Will be keeping my eyes and ears open. Hope they catch the freaking $%##@'s.
  14. Bill, codos for you doing what the customer wanted you to do, even when you knew it wasnt a good idea. Sorry for losing the fin, but as for his rod, maybe he will learn for next time. Listen to the guide, they are on the water everyday for a reason. Thanks for the pics of the craws.
  15. Hate to say it but why fish a tourney where you pay a high entry fee, and by the time you get done and add gas, baits, time and effort not alone room and board if you are from elsewhere, you have to win the thing to break even. Just not a good way to use your money. On the other hand, Millcreek Friday Night Tourneys are 100% payback, paying one per every 7 boats, and the entry is only $35. If you fall on bad times for the night, your not out that much, and if you at least get in the money, you break even. http://www.millcreekteamnighttournaments.com/
  16. Surely you read Bills recent report. That would be the first thing to try. Second, look up the MDC brushpile list and target those. There are a ton between Millcreek ramp and the swimming area. Our night tourneys let a lot of fish go in that area and im sure a bunch run down the bank, see the structure and hole up for awhile while they get their wits back together from the stress of being wieghted in. We call them pet fish.
  17. Im putting the popcorn in the microwave. I would love the chance to catch stripers in TR. But I believe we have a wonderful thing going so why *&^&*& it up with a new species. Also, dont want my pet 7lb green backs fighting over the gizzards with a 40lb striper. Popcorns done....
  18. So pale orange might be their way to camoflage in the stained water due to the algae bloom. Interesting.
  19. Ok boys, have been wondering about this. I dont ever remember seeing craws with orange on them. Im not disputing, just wondering why? Is it because they are molting? Will give some orange-y baits a try thursday night while prefishing to check it out. Also, how long do they stay orange-y? I know summer craws normally are the green, brown, blue highlighted.
  20. Ichs na on the Nerschoo Ekcre scay also... Yes, if the dams are generating it does set the fish up different. Have hit some spots where you know you should have fish and nothing, then couple hours later they are there. Think they were there the whole time, just didnt have their eyes open until the current was moving. Lot more current in TR than most people realize. This does not effect most shallow fish, or creek arm fish either. But main lake fish live and die by it. Moving on now.
  21. Nothing to read hear, moving on.

  23. Bill. I agree, Pigstickers are the best jigs made. Price is good and they hold up till you lose them in the cracks. Havent used that color, but will be looking for it. They help sponsor our Friday Night Millcreek Tourneys and almost always have one tied on. Thanks for the great report.
  24. My problem is I can not get one to run right. I was told once that you have to buy like 4 to get one that runs right. Any suggestions?
  25. sprint, what kind of crank was you thowing if you dont mind? 8 to 10' range plugs or dd22s, craw colors or shad? We fished meeks also, my worker and I, and we sure didnt do well.
