  1. Wow what a neat looking spot, and to be catching those in that swift water has got to be a blast. What area are you in? I don't need exact location, was just curious cause I don't recognize that dam.
  2. Nice report, sucks about the no pic problems. Me and my boy were fishing off the bank this evening before dark and lots of short strikes with several getting off quickly. We got a good variety of warm water species plus some trout.
  3. I've been down there quite a bit in the last week or so and have caught a lot of warm water species which have scars and such on them which like was already stated, seem to be from Tablerock.
  4. I bet they were having a blast.
  5. It looks 100 percent Cottonmouth to me. Most are darker colored, but I've seen some light like the one in your pictures also. They are to friendly for me. Me and my boy saw one just like it in Finley River yesterday just after we got done snorkeling right next to it. They hardly ever show any fear of people.
  6. Thanks for posting, We're gonna go over this afternoon and would have missed it if you hadn't posted. I hope it's not to crazy with people.
  7. I never lock my phone, and like you, don't understand why so many people do. I carry my phone in my pocket all the time(several different phones) and never have had a problem butt dialing people. Maybe some people have some really important info on their phones, but maybe some just don't want someone to see what they're doing on their phones.
  8. Maybe they'll take it for a ride when all the floodgates are open the next time, lol. This thing and fishermen don't mix well. It looks like we lose again to $$$$$. With that being said, it looks like a lot of fun.
  9. It looks like the bite was real good on that side of the lake, it looks a little slower than the other side. I hope the bite stays good for a while. Was anybody catching whites or walleye on that side? We've been down a couple times and saw people catching quite a few on the spillway side and couldn't tell what they were catching.
  10. Yikes, I'm glad I'm not the one to be there for that discovery, I am down there about everyday.
  11. Wow that is a neat thing to do, I've always wanted to try out a few different kayaks and canoes before buying. And never bought them because of the serious regret of not liking something. I hope they do something similar up here sometime.
  12. It all depends on which section of the river you float. There are sections which you may only see a few people, if any. Then there are a couple sections which would be unacceptable to the average fisherman wanting peace. My favorite section would be from the end of V Hwy downstream to the next access. Then there are many other upstream sections which may work for you. The bridge access at 160 Hwy between Nixa and Springfield down to Delaware Town would be a good 2 day float, and avoid seeing very many people also.
  13. Thanks, I'm hoping it's cleared up by now.
  14. I was down at Powersite last night and the water was chocolate milk. Has anybody been to the area today and noticed if the muddy water has been flushed out of Taney yet?
  15. Yeah they sure seem to disappear around the 10 inch mark sometimes. But think about all those walleye you probably caught while crappie fishing.
  16. Yeah I've never had that problem, you should give it up and take up golf or baking.
  17. What! No Walleye! Nice report, sounds like you had a hoot.
  18. LOL, Looks likes there's gonna be a whole lot of good eating there. More power to them if they're all legally taken. I'm sure they taste as good as if they were caught with a fishing pole. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Thanks. There's definitely plenty of drum and carp for everybody, lol.
  20. It must be a secret spot because I've been down there almost daily and have only seen 2 boats total. Probably a really rough launch spot. Have you been catching much?
  21. THANKS! It looks like there's gonna be some chainsaw work done on that bridge!
  22. Does anybody know what bridges Are and Are Not washed away or damaged? Mckee and Patrick Bridges still up?
  23. How far below the Stockon Dam is the Big Eddy Site?
  24. There were a few scattered shad up there last night. I didn't try to cast net any but saw them scattered on the banks in small numbers. I'm sure there's a ball of them somewhere close.
  25. That looks better than a couple days ago, thanks!
