  1. I'd guess that you would be fine. I have not cleaned a female crappie this year, but would guess that the eggs won't be ready right now for spawning. Maybe I'm wrong on that though.
  2. Nice report, It's nice to have someone post something. Those little ones are waaaay better for eating than them big fat females anyways.
  3. It looks like they got some good size to them, or maybe it's just been too long since I've ate crappie? I've been wondering when the first reports would start coming in. I was down there about a week ago and caught a few out of the kayak off a steep bank on timber and barely saw anyone around. This next week is gonna have a lot of people starting to show up I imagine. Thanks for sharing your report.
  4. I was down there today and the Dock is still about a foot under water. The ramp is fairly clean and is usuable.
  5. I've never tried clousers after dark, but I'm sure others have got it figured out. But nighttime is the right time for white bass. They bite much better after dark from my experience and that is the time that I target them, usually using purple swimming minnows or some variant of similar bait.
  6. Walleye have been up at Powersite for quite some time now, probably less now that the water is headed down. A couple weeks ago people were daily catching up to 29 inchers that I saw landed off the bank. Lots of them in the 24-26 inch range. I never saw anybody with a limit, but have seen several people with 3 on their stringers.
  7. SINCE WHEN IS THIS TYPE OF LANGUAGE ALLOWED HERE?
  8. Thank you, Night time is always the right time
  9. Nice report, what was you using when you caught the whites? Did you catch them before or after dark? It's nice to hear there's some in there, I could use some fresh fish.
  10. I was at Rockaway today. The ramp is open.
  11. Mmmm, I wish I had me some whitebass to eat right now. It looks like you had a nice day at least.
  12. ok thanks. Hopefully someone needs some parts
  13. How much would it cost to rebuild and have running in perfect shape?
  14. You should have said: Wiggle Warts For Auction! Good luck
  15. Wow, them are a couple whoppers for a river caught bass. Congrats. It appears you know how to fish. I wouldn't wanna be against you in a river tourney, lol.
  16. That looks like a neat idea. Most lures are made to catch people instead of fish, but that could have some benefit if there's a difficult bite going on.
  17. Awesome walleye! Thanks for showing it.
  18. I myself am guilty of eating a few smallmouth a year out of areas I know readily reproduce lots of them here locally. But I'm not a fan of keeping a whole limit of them out of a river. With that said, they were within the law to keep what they did.
  19. Wow, great report. I sure wish I lived a little closer. I'd sure like some white bass to eat, but they're hard for me to get since my boat motor crapped out on me this spring. I bet you had a blast catching whites in shallow water like that.
  20. There are some catfish in the Finley, but it's not a great river for them. It's more of a smallmouth and goggle eye river. I wouldn't waste my time anywhere around the park. There is some good spots downstream of Ozark.
  21. Nice introduction, welcome to the site. Not a whole lot of information gets posted on Bull Shoals, but what does can usually be very helpful. Nice looking house also, what a dream house that would be.
  22. 21.7 miles
  23. I gotta say I've always thought I was quite good in a canoe, but this guy takes it to another level. I don't think I'll be trying a headstand anytime soon, lol.
  24. They better hurry, because to make that prediction, they would have to drop it about 5 inches a day for 60+ days in a row.
  25. When it does come down. Maybe early next year to a reasonable regular level, it will most likely be short lived before the new spring rains bring it up again and they hold as much water as possible. I wish they would leave it down also. The lower the better it seems to me.
