Rps: I have a flippin' rod I'll gladly loan you.....Just to get a feel ya know. Just PM me on either forum.
-
RPS: I'm going to pull one with leadcore when the time is right. Speed / depth will be the deciding factor on that deal. It's gota to be just fast enough to make everything wiggle but not so fast as to run too shallow.....Kind of depends on where I tell the walleyes to be that day. lol

Marine Mechanic For Hire! (I Come To You!)

OUCH ! -
Good report Hunter91......! Holler if you get done my way....

Pretty much what they all said, but, if you're going to get a guide for a day, that should pretty much put you in the fish pie. Get the guide on your day one. Get their cell number. buy alot of gas.....lol.....seriously, Bill Babler, Bill Beck, Don House, Buster Loving, Chris Tetrick, Capt Joe, should all be able to show you where they are and how to get them. Didn't mean to leave the other guides out at all... I second the : Watch out for a big tournament weekend. Good luck ! Signed, Old Kansas Boy

Just a quick tip that might save somebody some grief: IF you have a White River Border Lakes permit on your fishing license, you can go as far as you CAN go up the Kings River.... No problem....On the White River, your border lakes permit STOPS working at the downstream border of the Trophy Trout Area below Beaver Dam, which is also called Housemann, since there is a small ramp there, near Busch, Ar., called the Housemann Access. If you venture upstream from Housemann, you'll need an Arkansas fishing license..... You can also go as far as you want UP Long Creek...And, of course, the James River since its goes north, farther into Missouri.... Good fishing guys !!

Yes, several stations down around Tablerock Lake have non-E premium....I've never seen non-E regular anywhere in the last year or 3. Hey-Bob's in Lampe has the Non-E premium, and I've been using it in everything. 75 hp Mercury, a 150 hp yammy, a 9.9 yammy, all my "stuff". (chainsaws, mowers, etc)... Everything seems to run excellent.

Footnote on border permit. If you're fishing Tablerock Lake and have a "White River Border Lakes Permit", you can only fish as far upstream on the White River as the lower line of the "Trophy Trout Area" below Beaver Dam. (Which is quite a ways from Beaver Dam). This line is also known as the Housemann Access near Busch, Arkansas. Your Border Lake Permit is no good upstream from Housemann. There are signs on shore telling you you are at the Trophy Trout Area. Carry on !

Did I say ALL over the place, price wise ? lol A realtor is definately just a starting point..
-
Don't know without a house to go with it.. Wish I had one that size. Prices for slips down here are all over the place. Finding somebody that really WANTS IT bad can be a real good thing for you. Many people are house hunting and the slip is just an option. If you'll PM me, I know a couple of guys that might be interested, but you'll have to deal with them yourself. The first thing they'll ask is: Where EXACTLY is the slip. If it's not too far from Lampe, they may jump on it. Call some local realtors for an estimated price. Be sure and mention you do not have a house for sale, only a lot. Hope that helps a little. Martin

rps.....There you go again.....lol shhhhhh........

This is just gettin' good......(NOT) ...lol.... ahhhhmmm, it really does look like a long winter. And, silly me, I like river fishing and lake fishing...and fun fishing and tournament fishing. Let me say, (it's irrelevent anyway), I have fished with many walleye pro's, and everyone of them has been a decent guy, if not a great guy. I have also........oh nevermind...lol..... For the lurkers or part-timers. If you want to learn how to fish Tablerock Lake, don't try and get alot out of fishing as a co-angler in a bass tournament. You will learn more from any of the better guides on the lake. And you'll spend far less money in the long run. At least the guide WANTS YOU to catch fish. And they're here everyday. Not for a week, once or twice a year. If you have the competition bug, go for it. It can be a very humbling experience, in more then one way. But there are way easier lakes to "have a shot at winning" then Tablerock. Well heck, there I went and posted, and I was going to stay away from this thread....lol.......I'm a glutton for punishment....lol Quick note to Techo: Do you REALLY have 2 golf clubs ? I was lying, I only have one. We might be dangerous. (to spectators)..........LOL
-
Bisuckal.....!! LOL Techo !! Good one... I've played your "pasture pool" before. Along about day two when I'm still at hole number 5, you guys might just kick me out...lol My walleye tournament partner, Scott the Bullitt says I play golf with alot of LOFT...I found out that means Lack Of _______ Talent....so.....I'm taking my clubs (both of them) and going home.....wahhhh....

By the way...And being pretty lazy today, I'm not going to wade through a regulation book, I THINK I remember the umbrella type rigs are legal in Arkansas, but not Missouri. Just from my fading memory, I think this is correct.

Listen to Champ188....I'd rather go in for a root canal right now then try and catch a keeper on the rock. Of course, I live here, so you guys with "the fever" shouldn't listen to me, cause the day you come, might be the day when all he!! breaks loose...Gotta be here when it happens. If that happens, just please post up a vague report..lol..... Seriously, a good fisherman just might hit the jackpot. It's just that it has been somewhat slow on keepers. I'm guessing / hoping for a November shallow bite. Signed, spoiled

I think the Bull is tough right now also. I had some good friends go out of Tucker Hollow Saturday. They are very good fisherman also. They said there was so many fish, and so many shad schools on the sonar, they couldn't believe they were catching near zilch. They spooned, trolled, threw everything and I believe they finally did catch one walleye and a dink bass or two, but it was T O U G H ...
-
It's a shame when only a few minutes of extra care would save the fish. People get tired.......People get lazy....Sometimes it even takes a lot longer then a few minutes. Most are not willing to spend the time, whether wading or on their belly at a dock, to insure the fish have every chance. I've been lazy WAY back in the 80's, in another state, But not since I moved to Missouri in 1990 (full time) and especially since I started catching walleyes. Well, I'm not perfect, but I wanted to agree with your post Ozark Outdoorsman and abkeenan...

Table Rock Lake Fishing Report October 9Th. 2011
Martin replied to Bill Babler's topic in Table Rock Lake
The walleyes are T O U G H also... rps has done educated them all....lol (Just kidding Randolph) !! -
No...I cannot either. And it froze up my puter for a minute...dang machines...lol

I caught 1 $50.00 and one $10.00 walleye. This was back in 2003 or so..I did contact A.J. Pratt (biologist) later and gave him the numbers I had turned in.....One was a male that was only a couple of miles from where I caught it. The other was a female that had wandered from the mouth of Bear Creek all the way to the big flat at Diamond City....Still not near the whole lake, but many miles from Bear Creek....interesting stuff. I'm with PD. 2 fish wouldn't tell them anything, and the question would be, "WHY" would they do something like that...
-
My guess is that the tags would be $100.00 at most, probably less....You'd have to provide where, when, and how you caught the walleye.
-
The tags may have happened, but I'll betcha the amounts are not near that huge. But I, have no proof either. Just being around for 60 years makes it very hard to believe they would put a 10 grand tag on ANY fish...again, just my opinion. Everybodies got one of those....lol

Sounds more like a Mo Highway Patrol. The Kimberling guys are very pro-tourist / tournament ...etc...
