I do not think they should allow women in the classic. They seem to have an unfair advantage. It was embarrasing enough when the Game Warden checked my wife and I crappie fishing. She had 12 I had 3. She is a kind woman though after getting her 15 she sat in the back of the boat sunbathed and allowed me to get mine without complaining....... I think the fish know..... unfair advantage.

I have a Champion River Jon 20', 42" wide mostly run a 20 Merc Jet, but have a 9.9 prop I use for trips on Buffalo and Crooked creek. I love the jet, but if was limited to 1 motor it would be a 9.9. When you are running hard and happen to suck up a bunch of leaves in a bend it resembles one of those dishes the kids use on the snow. Running the Little Red at low flow is a night mare, constantly choked up. After one trip always use my prop there. I have ran Shawnees and Supremes both good boats. Supreme nice finish, but I buy them to use, get that gel coat pretty skinned up. But nice.

Thanks for the helps. I am more of a stump or fire plug, 5'10 240, so need a pretty good size boat, just like the lighter weight to drag. I spin fish some but mostly fly fish so length helps with rods. I do snag a few suckers but generally stop and wade or get on the bank for that, but paddling is a good way to find them. This weather is a mess, have cabin fever, had some minor surgery a couple weeks ago so activites are restricted but hope to be healed by warm weather. I guess the double blade is not what I need..... sure looks cool those guys in kayaks..... oh well. Tight lines

Has anyone used the double ended Kayak type paddles in one of these solo canoes? I was thinking of getting a Kayak, looks like get wet and can not carry enough stuff, especially for overnight, plus I am getting old not sure I could get out of a kayak after I sit a while. I use a 14'9" old town and sit backwards in the front seat to solo, thought the lighter weight Pack might be better for me? But like the looks of those paddles?
