  1. Well guess I will have to figure out the size and get it done. Did one on my Ranger back in 80's think I can figure it out again.
  2. The cables on my trusty ole Champion are getting stiff, shoot original equipment on a 87 model, nothing lasts.... Should I just replace or can I get a lube cleaning job? PM d Wrench, but open to ideas. Thanks
  3. Thanks J doc, as the unit is 6 years old afraid I am in a jam, no loose resources to replace. Will contact Humminbird today. But having had that experience before not too excited.
  4. usually I can research and find my answers. My 1197 has worked without a hitch since 2011. In March I updated to 6.640, when I went out in April the GPS did not work and the interlink did not show on it or the 798 on the bow. I got another interlink appeared to try to sync fine then froze. The interlink works fine on the 798. I have lost temp on the 1197, tried with two different transducers. I do not get my map page or snapshot page. Sometimes it freezes going through the views, sometimes on menu items. I have tried backing up two levels of software up date. Is it fried or ? Thanks
  5. Well I guess something good comes out of something bad..... gauges stay: http://www.news-leader.com/story/news/politics/2017/05/04/missouri-dnr-pledges-preserve-stream-gauges-following-flooding/101294324/
  6. I agree with the inner tube shock absorber, that is something I learned from Ham, however, i use a heavy wire connection that will break away under heavy load, due to experience fishing folks out who's anchor or chain "hung" everyone of them had a knife right there so they could cut the rope in the event of a incident..... none were able.
  7. Thanks Phil, I was wondering but embarrassed to ask. Would you suggest launching at Cooper or below the dam? Trout Boat or Champion Bass? Thanks
  8. Me too

  18. the 10 is turbine release does not include flood gates.....Gauge at tail water was 708 at 10,000 it is now at 714 so they are dumping a bunch. But you are correct 130 plus coming in likely much more and 20 coming out?????? Not a math expert but.looks like 10 gates open now saying going to go to 40 to 60,000 today......
  19. If I understood Phil's "updated forecast" post correctly, at 920 they will increase release to 20,000 CFS..... we have 22,900 coming down James, 29,700 off Flat plus Kings River at 24,600 that is 77,200 coming in addition to all the others and releases from Beaver......appears to me we are at a extra 100,000 CFS how long til it hits 930?

  21. 1800, James is at 22,900 CFS Flat Creek 29, 700 still raining hard here...... just fyi
  22. Here below the house James is at 21,900 cfs...(Delaware Town) on March 3 it was 47.5 CFS for reference....it is raining so hard you can not see 50 yards. my o my Flat Creek at Jenkins is at 21,700 for reference on March 17 it was 86.6 cfs....
  23. McDonald County no, but basically everything south of Aurora highway 60 west to Monett Hwy 37 south past Cassville to 76 drains into Flat Creek which drains into James. Here at the house we had the inch yesterday, and another 3 today so far, so that is 4 so far heading to Table Rock. My pond is overflowing, and the poor ole sump pump is working OT. Page 4 of the following has a decent breakdown. https://mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/files/watersheds/170JamesRiverAllPages.pdf All we can do is pray and wait and see.
  24. If it rains like they say it is going too, next week the hole just below the Bull Creek Bridge at Walnut Shade should be loaded.
