  1. the newer packs are pretty thin, I bought mine in 2009, less than 200 miles on it, granted we had a couple of low water years, and at 5'10" 240 ih hauls a load.Butt it looks in worse shape than my 12 year old camper. Like the light, but if were to do over it would be the Wenonah Vagabond.
  2. I run a tripper, a disco 169, a camper and a pack. That said I have paddled the buffalo and the appy, both good boats, in my opinion the buffalo is a bit more stable, but the appy is more agile, cuts n turns quicker. Only time I have ever went down in clabber shoal was in a appy but it was loaded pretty heavy for a 3 day run. Check with Bobber on the Buffalo fourm he can usually hook you up with a Buffalo quite a bit cheaper than the old town..my 2cents

  15. THEM DAM GIGGERS, Oh no pole and line poachers not possible.....
  16. I understand that it needs to go somewhere. We all intrude on the enviornment. However, what is the reasoning behind a hog operation in the Ozarks karst topography which drains too rapidly into ground water and streams before being absorbed into ground where plants can utlize the waste. The corn to feed the hogs has to be shipped in. The hogs have to be shipped out to packing houses.... Seems there may be a better place raise hogs. The logistics and environment just do not to fit. g
