  1. This is the time of year the walleye meat fishermen are out. Fortunately not all know what they are doing and are there because they heard they were biting. Unfortunately, several guides are taking clients out and keeping limits for every person in the boat. I hope they catch trout.
  2. Not mine. I used a single hook rig.
  3. Spawn is not solely controlled by water temp. Yes, it matters, but lunar phase comes into play as well.

    Just a home cooked meal.
  5. The Purina Trout Chow taste lingers until the color on the sides is flaming and the flesh is bright orange. Other wise, cold smoke it.

  7. I fished that lake many times between 1972 and 1985. Classic highland artificial lake with clear water. I never fished for crappie on that lake, so I cannot help you. March was/is wiggle wart/rockcrawler time. If all you are catching are buck bass males, move out to the staging water, 20 to 40 feet, and fish a very slow finesse jig and creature. Drag it down the point, not jump it. Also try a slow jerk bait or a slow rolled spinner bait on a timbered point edge like those in Bee Creek. With what I learned fishing Table Rock, Broken Bow shallow is 25 feet or less. Two further comments: First, the largest spot I ever caught came from there . 4+ pounds. Second, fish the J shaped point just as you come out of the marina cove. The little bowl where it turns is a sweet spot.

  10. Bobby, you can do this yourself with a book, a coffee cup, a razor blade and a video from Mudhole. You need a guide, some thread, and some epoxy. Were my eyes and fingers younger, I would do it myself.

Started a New York Times recipe tonight. After the first several steps, I decided the recipe would not work for Nancy and I. I washed the shrimp and started over with a simple sauted peppers and shrimp over rice.

Christmas Eve present and past. My wife made the stocking for me in 1976. Merry Christmas. God Bless Us, Each and Everyone.
  24. In the 2010's a Eureka Springs shop teacher was called on the carpet and a letter put in his file for having a shotgun on his gun rack in his pickup. Of course, his principal was the type that would need a sledge hammer to drive a ten penny nail into her posterior.
  25. When I had one of those days (maybe twice), it went in the memory bank forever.
